We are seeking a highly skilled Implementation Manager to join our team, and work alongside our Lead Project Manager to lead the establishment of processes and procedures for all aspects of data center operations, including managing the training and evaluation of data center technicians. The role can be Remote, with the ideal candidate being based on the West Coast.
Responsibilities:
- The ability to oversee multiple fast pace projects simultaneously.
- Data Center Infrastructure Management: Oversee the planning, deployment, and maintenance of data center infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and power and cooling systems.
- Be able to manage customers expectations and drive vendors to complete their scope to meet the customers timelines.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure the availability of necessary equipment, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong working relationships
- Track project costs for multiple projects at one time.
- Be able to articulate your project concerns to the provider.
- Hold meetings with your vendors and site on a weekly basis.
- Track your projects and update stakeholders twice a week.
- Continual Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and operational efficiency. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance data center operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in implementation or technical project management in data center operations or cloud computing. Experience with high-performance compute environments and GPU technologies is a must.
- Project Management Skills: Proven track record of successfully managing complex technical projects from initiation to completion. Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
- Data Center Operations: In-depth knowledge of data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling systems. Familiarity with data center best practices and industry standards.
- Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Ability to analyze complex technical issues, troubleshoot problems, and propose innovative solutions. Strong decision-making and critical-thinking abilities.
- Compliance and Security: Familiarity with data center compliance requirements, security protocols, and risk management practices.
- Technical Aptitude: Solid understanding of GPU technologies, cloud computing concepts, and virtualization technologies. Proficiency in relevant scripting languages, such as Python or PowerShell, is a plus.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing requirements.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL) are a plus.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $90,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $130,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Hybrid Workplace
Successful candidates will be expected to attend onboarding training at our NJ Headquarters for up to 2 weeks within their first month of employment, with subsequent quarterly travel requirements of 1 week duration.
