Job Description

Technical Programme Manager at ASOS

At ASOS, we are focused on building customer love through inspiring experiences and relevant products, whilst operating efficiently. Our tech is the foundation for this and we are ready to leapfrog to the next generation of Tech. We have ambitious plans to push past what’s previously been considered possible and challenge the status quo. We will leverage next generation technologies and automation to empower our own productivity, while collaborating with our Product colleagues on innovative use cases to delight our customer. Our strategic programmes will be at the forefront of this revolution, and we are seeking a Technical Programme Manager, passionate about data and GenAI technologies to own and drive this.

The Details

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Technical Programme Manager to drive fast, impactful change across multiple Tech domains. This role requires a leader capable of managing multiple complex workstreams, motivating teams, inspiring teams, engaging diverse stakeholders, and delivering impactful outcomes in a fast-paced, fluid environment. This is a brilliant opportunity for a seasoned Programme Manager to ensure the successful execution of our most complex GenAI engagements. You have proven experience successfully launching complex digital transformations involving AI applications – on time and on budget. This is more than delivering technical solutions, this is about leading and embedding change to the way we work and the way we serve our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the planning of a new complex programme, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and delivery timelines.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and third-party partners to dive into the detail of an inflight project, applying control across project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, issues, and decisions.
  • Building rapport with a new set of stakeholders, articulating the 'why' behind your initiatives, to gain their trust and buy-in. Identifying and influencing supporters and detractors. Promoting Tech progressive achievements and building sense of forward momentum.
  • Confidently present to EVP level stakeholders with engaging and succinct programme updates, focusing on delivery execution in relation to value delivered. Anticipating problem areas and proposing solution options based on data.
  • Cut through ambiguity in complex scenarios. Facilitating conflict resolution between key players, ensuring all parties are informed and considered but ultimately decisions are made that align with ASOS's best interests.
  • Connect with the wider project management team, coach team members, lead by example, inspire and motivate others by setting standards of excellence and fostering a growth mindset.
  • Spend time on deep work in the detail, ensuring the programme is on track against budget and we are efficiently using the resources available to us. Review early opportunities to validate our business case assumptions and revisiting mitigation strategies for emerging risks.
