The role

Infinite Reality is looking for a highly skilled and driven Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be a key player in driving technical projects forward, ensuring that cross-functional teams stay aligned, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality results. You’ll work across a variety of teams—from engineering and design to product and operations—helping them navigate complex, multi-faceted projects and delivering exceptional solutions.

As a TPM, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of technical initiatives, acting as the bridge between technical teams and stakeholders. Your leadership and organizational skills will ensure that critical projects, particularly those involving cutting-edge technology related to web-based immersive 3D environments, generative AI, and procedural generation, are completed on time and meet strategic goals.

You’ll also be directly involved in problem-solving, helping to mitigate risks, manage dependencies, and address any roadblocks that arise. Whether it’s developing clear project plans, refining team workflows, or fostering communication across teams, your influence will be critical to the success of the product and the overall company mission.

What you’ll do

• Drive Technical Projects from Start to Finish: Lead complex, cross-functional technical programs, from initial planning through to final execution. You’ll define project scope, build detailed roadmaps, and ensure that all teams are aligned and executing effectively toward shared goals.
• Ensure Clear Communication Across Teams: Serve as the central point of contact for technical teams, stakeholders, and external partners. You’ll foster a culture of transparency and communication, making sure everyone has the information they need to stay aligned and informed.
• Manage Risks & Dependencies: Proactively identify and manage risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks that could impact project timelines or outcomes. Your problem-solving and critical thinking skills will help keep projects on track and moving forward.
• Coordinate Cross-Functional Teams: Work with engineers, designers, product managers, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth collaboration across departments. You’ll help balance competing priorities and ensure that all teams are working together towards common objectives.
• Optimize Development Processes: Implement and refine workflows, processes, and tools that increase productivity and drive operational excellence across teams. You’ll help streamline how the company approaches project delivery, ensuring the team works smarter, not harder.
• Monitor and Track Project Progress: Oversee the ongoing status of technical programs, ensuring milestones are met, issues are addressed, and deliverables are completed on schedule. You'll track KPIs, review project outcomes, and provide timely updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Lead Problem-Solving Initiatives: Step in as needed to help troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise, whether they’re related to design, engineering, or process. Your expertise will help maintain momentum when challenges arise and ensure the team can pivot when necessary.
• Provide Leadership & Mentorship: Lead by example, helping junior team members grow and learn. Your experience will help guide the team toward best practices and ensure that technical goals are met through mentorship and guidance.

What you’ll bring

• Extensive Technical Program Management Experience: You bring 3-5 years of hands-on experience in managing complex, cross-functional programs within technical environments. Your background allows you to oversee and deliver high-impact initiatives, often involving multiple engineering teams, technical stakeholders, and challenging timelines. You know how to drive projects to completion while managing competing priorities and maintaining a focus on quality and delivery.
• Strong Technical Acumen with Engineering Expertise: You have a deep understanding of the technical landscape, especially in areas such as software engineering, product development, and systems integration. You can dive into the technical details and help solve problems while facilitating communication between engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders. Your ability to understand both the high-level vision and the granular technical aspects makes you an invaluable bridge between teams.
• Proven Experience Managing Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: You excel in coordinating between engineering groups, product teams, and business units. Whether it’s organizing shiproom meetings or driving technical decisions between key stakeholders, you know how to align diverse teams and manage dependencies. Your communication and organizational skills help you ensure that each team is on the same page and that the program stays on track.
• Expertise in Engineering Timelines and Delivery Planning: You bring a data-driven approach to managing engineering timelines and setting realistic delivery goals. You’re skilled at breaking down large technical projects into achievable milestones, helping teams estimate effort, and driving realistic delivery dates. Your experience enables you to manage resources effectively while balancing scope and quality.
• Strong Problem-Solving & Risk Management Skills: Whether it’s a technical blocker, a resource constraint, or an issue between teams, you excel at identifying, addressing, and mitigating risks. Your proactive approach helps you manage potential issues before they affect project timelines, and you have the technical expertise to help resolve complex problems with engineering teams.
• Leadership & Mentorship: As a technical leader, you guide engineering teams through challenges, providing mentorship and fostering a collaborative culture. You lead by example and have a proven track record of building strong relationships with engineers, helping them grow, and ensuring teams work effectively together. You also work to elevate the technical skills of your colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement in the program management process.
• Expert in Managing Special Projects and Strategic Initiatives: You thrive when managing high-priority special projects that require focused management efforts. Whether it’s organizing critical technical decisions or managing major infrastructure or product changes, you take ownership of driving results while aligning with the company’s strategic goals.
• Proficiency with Tools & Methodologies: You have extensive experience with project management tools and methodologies (such as Jira, Asana, Confluence, Agile, and Scrum). Your ability to leverage these tools helps you track progress, manage dependencies, and ensure that teams remain aligned with program goals.
• Adaptability & Continuous Improvement: In a fast-paced, ever-evolving technical environment, you know how to adapt to changing circumstances. • Experience Managing Complex Cross-Functional Programs: You’ve successfully managed large, cross-disciplinary programs that involve multiple engineering teams, product groups, and stakeholders. Your ability to drive projects forward while aligning diverse teams ensures that product development stays on track and that critical technical milestones are met.
• Familiarity with AI & Machine Learning Technologies: Exposure to managing AI-driven projects or working with machine learning teams is a big plus. If you’ve helped coordinate complex AI or ML initiatives, particularly in areas like natural language processing, computer vision, or generative AI your technical knowledge will help you manage the intricacies of our cutting-edge product development.
• Familiarity with Game Engines and 3D Modeling Tools: Experience working with game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine, or familiarity with 3D modeling software like Blender or Maya. Your experience helps streamline workflows for importing and optimizing assets for web and immersive environments.
• Expertise in Cloud-Based Systems & Infrastructure: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, especially in deploying and managing large-scale applications or systems. Your familiarity with cloud-based environments ensures that you can help manage infrastructure projects that support complex, distributed systems.
• Understanding of Agile & Lean Methodologies: You’ve worked in Agile or Lean development environments, and know how to effectively manage sprints, backlogs, and iterations. Your ability to implement these methodologies in a way that accelerates delivery without compromising quality makes you a perfect fit for our fast-paced development cycle.
• Hands-on Experience with Version Control & Project Management Tools: You are comfortable using tools like Jira, Asana, Git, and Confluence to track progress, manage tasks, and collaborate with teams. Your ability to set up and maintain smooth workflows using these platforms ensures that teams can focus on the technical work while staying organized and aligned.
• Experience with Technical Decision-Making & Risk Management: You have a strong track record of managing critical decisions in technical projects, balancing risks, and delivering successful outcomes. Whether it’s navigating trade-offs or mitigating technical debt, your ability to lead teams through tough decisions will help steer high-stakes projects toward success.
• Strong Communication & Stakeholder Management: You’re a skilled communicator who can translate technical complexities into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders. • Exposure to Distributed Systems & High-Performance Computing: If you’ve worked on distributed systems or high-performance computing (HPC) environments, your understanding of these architectures will be invaluable as we scale our platform.
