Reporting to the Site & Construction Manager, the Technical Program Manager will lead cross-functional programs that span infrastructure engineering, data center operations, and customer delivery. You will ensure that server hardware, networking, and facility systems are aligned to meet performance, availability, and scalability goals for IREN’s cloud customers.

Job requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in technical program management, infrastructure operations, or data center environments.
  • Strong understanding of server hardware, networking, and data center systems (power, cooling, cabling).
  • Experience with infrastructure automation, cloud architectures, and internal developer platforms.
  • Ability to read and write code for documentation, demos, or technical validation.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders.
  • Skilled in risk management, dependency tracking, and milestone-based execution.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and other project management methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience in high-performance computing (HPC), hyperscale, or Tier 3+ data center environments.
  • Certifications in PMP, ITIL, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring and availability tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Experience managing hardware suppliers and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to define program goals, KPIs, and success metrics aligned with business objectives.


Job responsibilities
  • Program Leadership: Drive end-to-end execution of infrastructure programs, managing scope, timelines, risks, and dependencies across multiple teams.
  • Technical Coordination: Translate infrastructure engineering requirements into actionable plans, integrating server hardware, networking, and data center support systems.
  • Operational Oversight: Partner with datacenteroperations to ensure power and cooling systems meet performance and reliability standards.
  • Customer Delivery: Interface with cloud customers to understand infrastructure needs, communicate project timelines, and ensure service availability.
  • Availability Management: Monitor and maintain customer infrastructure uptime, proactively identifying and resolving risks and issues.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear and consistent updates to internal teams and external customers, managing expectations and aligning priorities.
  • Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies for infrastructure deployments and upgrades.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and reliability across infrastructure programs.

Compensation 

  • The expected base salary for this role starts at $150,000.00 USD. 
    • Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and market data for the region 
  • Total Compensation package may be inclusive of annual incentive bonus, equity (long-term incentive), project allowances
