Job Description
The Opportunity:
This technical program manager position will own and drive technical programs within the emerging Mattel games self-publishing team. As part of the team, you will have an opportunity to join our dynamic work environment to directly impact the build-out and success of underlying systems and technologies supporting and development, deployment and live operations of gaming products. You will help identify customer needs, create product vision, build plans, coordinate high level dependencies and report project status to management and key stakeholders. This is a highly impactful role is a great opportunity to help support our next generation of games.
What Your Impact Will Be:
- Build and deploy a portfolio of mission-critical technologies and services across the Mattel self-published games portfolio.
- Leverage internal Mattel technologies from across the organization, partnering with in-house experts, third-party solution providers, and game development studios.
- Act as a coordinating bridge between all parties, ensuring close communication, resolving ambiguity, and fostering a collaborative approach.
- Improve the efficiency and effectiveness across key areas for games, including liveops tooling and execution; business intelligence and analytics for Games; eCommerce enablement for mobile web and console; and emerging technologies.
- Ensure the effective planning and execution throughout the entire SDLC, from concept to completion. Breakdown tasks, allocate resources, and establish realistic timelines and deliverables.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience on software engineering and services projects, with a proven track record of successful execution.
- 6+ years of working directly with engineering teams. Ideally prior hands-on development experience that provides a bedrock for solid architectural decisions and planning.
- Solid working knowledge of JIRA, Microsoft Project, Confluence, and other project planning and collaboration tools.
- Experience building process, tracking budgets, establishing software development and release schedules, delivering complex software engineering projects.
- Experience working within a fast-paced and dynamic cross functional environment.
- Effective communicator who can translate high level goals and strategy into action plans.
Preferred Qualifications
- Production development experience in the interactive gaming industry directly on games and/or supporting services and technologies.
- Agile scrum master certified, with solid experience running scrum ceremonies (planning, stand-up, review, retros).
The annual base salary range for this position is between $116,000.00 and $167,000.00
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
