Summary:

In this role, you will lead the coordination and execution of a portfolio of technology initiatives supporting Vizient’s Spend Management domain. You will partner with cross-functional teams across the Office of the CTO, including engineering, cloud operations, architecture, data, AI, and agile functions, to drive alignment and delivery. You will collaborate with engineering and product leadership to manage multiple programs, ensuring execution discipline, transparency, and effective coordination. You will work closely with the VP of Engineering and enterprise partners, including security, corporate IT, and R&D, to manage dependencies, risks, and priorities across the technology portfolio while supporting AI-enabled initiatives and ensuring alignment with responsible AI practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution and coordination of a portfolio of engineering initiatives supporting the defined technology domain.
  • Partner with engineering, product, and business leaders to translate priorities and strategic objectives into coordinated technology programs.
  • Drive program planning, milestone tracking, and cross-team coordination across engineering, data, AI, and platform teams.
  • Identify and manage dependencies across engineering, corporate IT, product development, and R&D to ensure successful delivery.
  • Establish and maintain program governance including roadmap alignment, progress reporting, and risk management.
  • Coordinate technical workstreams involving data platforms, analytics capabilities, and AI-enabled technologies within engineering roadmaps.
  • Ensure alignment with responsible AI governance when AI capabilities are incorporated into technology initiatives.
  • Provide clear visibility into program status through client and stakeholder communication and executive-ready updates.
  • Facilitate collaboration across product, engineering, architecture, and business teams to remove blockers and drive delivery.
  • Build strong relationships across teams and influence alignment on priorities, resources, and execution.
  • Drive prioritization and organization of work across the engineering program portfolio.
  • Contribute to the evolution and scaling of the Office of the CTO’s technology program management practice.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies, including AI-enabled and data-driven solutions relevant to healthcare operations and operational performance benchmarking. 

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • 7 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience in program, project, or portfolio management with direct experience in technical or engineering organizations highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning technologies, including responsible AI practices, preferred.
  • Experience supporting large-scale data, analytics, or AI-enabled initiatives preferred.
  • Healthcare provider experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across teams without direct authority.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex technical or engineering programs.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to translate complex technical initiatives into clear program updates for diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of software development lifecycles, data platforms, analytics systems, and cloud-based architectures.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $135,200.00 to $236,600.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
