Description
- Analyze the Canadian Defence & Security (D&S) sales landscape and collaborate with project teams and regional Business Development teams to identify and implement coordinated upselling strategies throughout the lifecycle of contracts
- Lead and close sales opportunities in collaboration with Site and Project Managers, working within multidisciplinary engineering and business strategy teams
- Develop Statements of Work (SOWs), technical solutions, cost estimates, governance frameworks, and proposals
- Build and maintain a network of internal stakeholders across global product and solution teams to establish and lead Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) for targeted sales opportunities
- Engage with clients to understand requirements and present tailored, value-driven solutions
- Apply structured sales methodologies to identify opportunities, achieve annual sales objectives, and increase revenue from existing contracts
- Develop, document, and execute IPT-specific sales strategies within D&S Canada
- Report on sales engineering activities, priorities, and risks to senior management
- Contribute to internal R&D initiatives by aligning customer needs with available technologies
- Provide input into product line and technology roadmaps to support long-term strategic positioning
- Support sales campaigns by providing technical expertise and process guidance
- Maintain accurate customer and opportunity data in CRM systems such as Salesforce
- Partner with Business Development teams to assess market needs, proactively engage customers, and build trusted client relationships
Minimum Qualifications
- University degree in Engineering, Applied Sciences, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5–8 years of experience in technical sales, business development, or a related field
- Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
- Demonstrated experience in proposal and bid development, including working independently to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and stakeholder management capabilities
- Basic knowledge of contracts, pricing, and financial concepts
- Experience in industries with long sales cycles
- Ability to travel within Canada up to 50%
- Fluency in English
- Eligibility to obtain Canadian Security Clearance and Controlled Goods Clearance
- Eligibility to work in Canada (Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or valid Work Permit)

- Bilingualism in English and French
- Advanced experience in negotiation and solution-based selling
- Experience working in defence, aerospace, or government contracting environments
- Familiarity with integrated project team (IPT) structures and cross-functional collaboration models
