Technical Product Owner

As a Technical Product Owner at Equifax, you will guide the development of our batch and data products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, and operations, to deliver products that meet market needs and maintain Equifax's high standards of data quality and security.

What you will do:

• Develop, maintain, and communicate the product vision and strategy for batch and data products.

• Create and manage a detailed product roadmap aligning with the company's strategic goals.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define product features, and prioritize the product backlog.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external customers regarding product-related inquiries and feedback.

What experience you need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Overall 10+ years of experience in the field of Information Technology

• 5+ relevant years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in a technical environment.

• Proven experience working with batch processing systems and data products.

• Strong understanding of data management, data integration, and data quality principles.

• Proficient in Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

What could set you apart:

• Experience in the financial services or credit information industry.

• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Java) and data warehousing solution and exposure to cloud platforms like GCP/AWS/Azure

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Define user stories and acceptance criteria, ensure development teams have a clear understanding of requirements.

• Prioritize and manage the product backlog to ensure timely delivery of features.

• Work closely with the engineering team to ensure product features are developed according to specifications.

• Lead sprint planning sessions, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.

• Coordinate with QA teams to ensure rigorous testing of all new features and enhancements.

• Ensure that all products meet Equifax's standards for data quality, performance, and security.

• Get insights from business teams on  market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.

• Adjust the product strategy and roadmap based on market insights and performance metrics.

• Maintain comprehensive product documentation for internal and external use.

• Provide training and support for sales and customer service teams on new product features and updates.
