Our client is a leading technology company specializing in innovative solutions for the secondary ticket market. (Stubhub, Vivid Seats, Seatgeek, etc) They service ticket brokers who are in search of a broad offering software solution to help them be more efficient handling their ticket sales. The technology encompasses a user facing web portal as well as extensive backend automation and integrations with third parties.

 

Role Overview

As a Technical Product Owner for Operations/Fulfillment, you will help to define key metrics of some of our internal backend processes, helping to identify the highest priority work and then defining the goals for that work to lead to more efficiency for our operations team. You will work with different development teams, driving and owning solutions and ensuring the outcomes match stated business domain objectives.

In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise as well as product management skills to guide the development of ticketing and POS systems, with a particular emphasis on understanding enough of the technology to convey details to the development teams. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to prioritize features, manage the product roadmap for the fulfillment area, and ensure that technical solutions align with business goals and market needs.
This is mostly backend focused subject matter, but does extend to the front end to convey system/fulfillment details to internal users.

 

Key Responsibilities:
 

• Lead the development and execution of the fulfillment automation roadmap, with a focus on documenting and clearly defining and integration strategies for 9 third party integrations.

• Collaborate with product managers to fit our work into the overall work items and help schedule.

• Work closely with engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of product features and API solutions.

• Manage the fulfillment backlog, prioritizing features and user stories based on business value and technical feasibility.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for technical aspects of fulfillment, liaising between product, engineering, and other stakeholders.

• Develop and maintain product documentation as needed, sometimes only ensuring that development teams are generating the required documentation.

• Analyze product metrics and user feedback to ensure our outcomes are well understood and communicated to the broader company.

 

Qualifications:


• 5+ years of experience in technical product management, preferably in the software or SaaS industry.

• Some technical background is nice to have with hands-on experience in software development, particularly in APIs or integrations.

• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technical products from conception to launch.

• Excellent understanding of software development methodologies, preferably Agile/Scrum.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience with ticketing systems, point-of-sale solutions, or related technologies is a plus.

• Familiarity with Trello, Jira, Sciforma or similar project management tools.

• Database knowledge, including proficiency in SQL and experience writing queries to extract and analyze data. T-SQL experience is a plus.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000 annually, depending on experience, plus bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Location:

This role is open to remote candidates or for those located in the Greater Chicago area with a hybrid work model (3 days per week in the office).
