The Technical Product Manager at Neara coordinates multiple engineering teams to prioritize and deliver complex platform initiatives, ensuring alignment and execution discipline while managing competing demands and enhancing product quality.
Summary Generated by Built In

Imagine having the power to stress-test an entire power grid against a hurricane or thunderstorm before the clouds even gather. That is the reality we are creating at Neara.

We use advanced machine learning to create engineering-grade, physics enabled digital twins of electricity grids across four continents, this helps asset owners understand their biggest challenges and bring the most viable solutions to life across millions of kilometres of infrastructure.

By simulating extreme weather and structural stress at a network-wide scale, we empower the world’s largest utilities to pinpoint risks, optimise investments and build a more resilient global energy future.

Our team is a collection of brilliant minds who are fanatical about making a tangible difference in the real world, utilising AI and machine learning to accelerate everything from data classification to complex scenario analysis. We have built a special culture where innovation thrives because everyone owns the mission and we need smart, creative people to help us scale this impact to every corner of the globe.

As a Technical Product Manager at Neara, you will operate at the centre of a complex, evolving platform, coordinating multiple engineering teams to deliver initiatives that enable the next generation of solutions while strengthening our core capabilities.

Our platform sits at the intersection of geospatial data, large-scale computation, and real-world infrastructure modelling. As demand grows across customers, markets, and internal teams, so does the complexity of what we build, and how we prioritise and deliver it.

This role exists to bring clarity and execution discipline to that complexity. You will work closely with Tech Lead Managers, Engineering Directors, and Architects to ensure the right work is prioritised, aligned, and delivered; balancing new capability development with the reliability and scalability of the platform.

We’re open to exceptional Technical Product Managers at both mid and senior levels, and will calibrate the scope of the role to match your experience and growth trajectory.

What you’ll do
  • Identify and prioritise platform initiatives that strengthen core capabilities and enable new solutions

  • Lead complex, cross-stream initiatives across multiple engineering teams and stakeholders

  • Work closely with Tech Lead Managers, Engineering Directors, and Architects to shape solutions and drive execution

  • Own prioritisation across competing demands, balancing new features, customer needs, production issues, and platform reliability

  • Own end-to-end delivery across your area, managing dependencies, surfacing risks, and ensuring commitments are met

  • Enable effective delivery within teams by shaping work, supporting sprint rituals, and maintaining delivery momentum

  • Set the bar for product quality and reliability, holding engineering, design, and implementation to a high standard across the full delivery cycle

What success looks like

Within your first 6–12 months, you will have:

  • Built a strong understanding of Neara’s platform, customers, and real-world use cases

  • Established trusted relationships across engineering and cross-functional teams

  • Taken ownership of key cross-team initiatives and delivered them to plan

  • Improved prioritisation and delivery flow across teams, reducing friction and surfacing risks earlier

  • Contributed to a more structured, scalable approach to how we plan and deliver platform work

What you’ll bring

Product leadership & execution

  • Experience delivering complex, highly technical B2B software or platform products

  • Track record leading cross-team or cross-stream initiatives

  • Strong execution discipline, able to drive work from planning through to delivery

  • Experience prioritising across competing demands (features, customer needs, production issues, reliability)

  • Experience maintaining product and platform health in live environments

  • Strong judgment balancing short-term delivery with long-term sustainability

Influence & collaboration

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Experience coordinating across teams and influencing without authority

Characteristics we look for

  • No-ego, outcome-oriented team players. We back each other and win together

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and bringing structure where none exists

  • Strong systems thinkers who can connect technical complexity to business outcomes

  • Curious and technically engaged, motivated to deeply understand how things work

  • Confident communicators who can influence engineers, executives, and customers alike

  • Self-directed operators who take ownership and create momentum

  • Pragmatic decision-makers who balance competing priorities and trade-offs effectively
