Why we need you
Omise powers payments for thousands of merchants across key Asia-Pacific markets including Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Japan. Accepting payments is only part of the story. The merchant experience, the dashboard they use every day, the tools that help them grow, the analytics that help them understand their business is what keeps them around.
We're looking for a mid-level TPM to own this domain. You'll work at the intersection of product, engineering, design, and data to improve how merchants engage with Omise's core platform. This isn't a backlog-management role. You'll define what we build, why it matters, and how it connects to merchant retention and platform growth.
What you will be doing
Discovery
- Establish and guide the product vision and strategic roadmap for merchant-facing platform features, encompassing all aspects from dashboard user engagement to advanced, AI-powered analytics.
- Identify high-impact opportunities through data analysis, customer interviews, and competitive research
- Translate merchant pain points and business objectives into clear problem statements before jumping to solutions
- Stay close to what merchants actually need by partnering with commercial, customer experience, and support teams
- Run customer interviews directly - prepare discussion guides, facilitate conversations with merchants or partners, synthesize findings, and use that evidence to support or challenge product decisions
Delivery
- Drive end-to-end delivery of features across engineering, design, QA, and operations
- Develop comprehensive yet concise user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specifications to provide the engineering team with clear direction without being overly prescriptive.
- Lead sprint ceremonies in collaboration with the engineering manager: planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Monitor delivery against outcomes - not just ticket completion - and adjust when things drift
Stakeholder alignment
- Maintain a single source of truth for your domain: roadmap, open decisions, and blockers, structured so any stakeholder can get context without needing to ask you directly
- Communicate trade-offs to leadership before decisions become urgent
- Manage competing priorities from multiple stakeholders without losing the engineering team's trust or momentum
You
- 3-5 years as a Product Owner or Product Manager in agile delivery teams, ideally in fintech, SaaS, or a high-growth environment
- Leverages AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) to enhance various aspects of work, including research, content drafting, data analysis, and workflow automation.
- Manages multiple workstreams simultaneously without losing strategic direction or dropping details
- Switches contexts quickly - technical discussions, merchant escalations, and roadmap reviews can all land in the same afternoon
- Data-driven: can build a funnel view, work in analytics tooling, and distinguish signal from noise
- Technically fluent: understands engineering concepts and speaks the language of the team without needing to write code or lead system design
- Communicate complex information effectively, both in writing and speaking, to diverse audiences. This includes generating executive summaries, Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), and regular asynchronous updates.
- Fluency in English and Thai languages
- Experience shipping or evaluating AI and ML-adjacent features is a plus
- High pace, multiple markets. Own your time, flag risks early, and ask for help before things become blockers.
Nice to Have
- Show proven analytics and data skills. You are experienced using data to make decisions and influence other decision makers.
- Have experience working in agile development methodology, preferably Scrum.
- Have an entrepreneurial mindset. You are effective at breaking down complex problems, driving change, and managing multiple and sometimes competing stakeholders and projects.
- Fintech and payment industry experience
