Job Description

The successful candidate will be the catalyst for innovation and operational excellence, empowering teams to deliver impactful, future-ready product solutions that drive the organization’s success. Acting as a strategic enabler to the organization, you will deliver scalable, innovative, and cohesive solutions that address complex business needs. You will be an integral member of the core team responsible for engaging with potential clients (through the RFP process) to understand their needs and create comprehensive & compelling proposals that can win business for the company. Your role will align with multi-quarter objectives and empower teams to achieve optimal delivery efficiency and impact.

The candidate should have a strong technical background (experience working in Payment Gateway / Card Payments / Financial Services space will be a plus), should be a thought leader, have exceptional organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills and be an analytical and structured thinker. This individual must be able to think broadly about Visa's business / Value Added Services business unit and drive the expansion of Visa’s Acceptance Solutions platform & offerings.

The candidate should possess a strong Technical background, with demonstrated expertise in contributing to medium to large cross-functional projects. We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated excellence in the payments, internet or related industries. The successful candidate must be a hands-on person with proven ability to engage in high bandwidth conversations with both business and technology executives.

To be successful in this position, this individual must be highly effective working both independently and in cross-functional capacities to provide a supporting role in identifying, defining, analyzing, prioritizing and refining technology requirements across all categories. Successful candidates will be skilled at forging strong partnerships with business sponsors, product owners, architects, and developers to support the development process. This function will address bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints to maximize business benefit.

Beyond the design and planning stages of the development lifecycle, strong Agile expertise is required to collaborate with Scrum teams during implementation phase.

This role will also partner with the cross-functional leadership team to help define the roadmap priorities and ensure that it remains aligned with the broader strategy and priorities. This individual will foster innovation, collaboration, leverage new technologies and champion impactful change to build Visa's technology brand through internal and external initiatives.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
•5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2
years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD,
MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work
experience.
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field,
followed by 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate industry experience
within a technology environment, with a track record of successfully delivering
complex software systems or services
•Technical experience in managing products built using Java technologies, API
(REST & SOAP), web & mobile development
•Demonstrated experience in managing and responding to RFPs – especially
with understanding client Requirements and coming up with right Technical
Solution
•Experience in delivering scalable, cohesive, and impactful product solutions
that address complex business needs
•Ability to align solutions with multi-quarter objectives
•Experience in reviewing user requirements, technical specifications, and
solution design documents to verify accuracy and alignment with project,
product, and platform goals
•Experience in understanding of the technical aspects related to the project to
identify dependencies and risks effectively
•Experience in creating, maintaining, and organizing all documents related to a
project's solution
•Familiarity using GenAI tools & platforms
•Proven track record in fostering and implementing new ideas, approaches, and
technologies (using GenAI or outside of it) that led to significant improvements
in business processes and outcomes
•Strong organizational and project management skills across multiple projects
and priorities simultaneously
•Demonstrated capability to empower teams for optimal delivery efficiency and
impact
•Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to think critically and solve
complex problems
•Proficiency working in an agile environment
•Exceptional collaboration and partnership skills with the ability to work in a
global environment and drive consensus in cross-functional teams
•Outstanding verbal and written communications ability to a diverse customer
audience, executives, product, and technology stakeholders
•Fast learner on both technical and business side
•Strong customer centric mindset
•Proactive, demonstrate sense of urgency and 'can do' attitude
•Result-oriented, Strong analytical and quantitative skills, driving insight from
data analysis

Preferred Qualification
•6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years
of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
•It will be an added advantage if the candidate has experience working in
Payment Gateway / Card Payments / Financial Services space in the areas of
Management tools for acquirers, partners & merchants for them to manage
their payment business

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 124,700.00 to 180,650.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
