Job Description

Overview of the role:

The Freight Platform is currently undergoing a transition revolving around Digitalization of its activities, consolidation of its data flows’ captures and preparation for the Decarbonization wave to come. As part of this transition, several solutions are currently being deployed, and workflows are evolving. The platform is heavily investing in automation to increase efficiency of the overall team with the goal of streamlining contract cycles, increasing robustness and creating feedback loops from executing/executed business into pricing and management of future business (Trade, Operations and Execution). As in any digital transition, there is a degree of initial change management involving training, ongoing support, and continuous improvement.


Your missions:


Performance Management, Team Leadership and Mentorship

  • Collaborate closely with the Product owner and the business stakeholders to validate and refine technical product roadmap.
  • Experience in managing internal and 3rd party teams, with skills across architecture, engineering, UI; experience in backlog prioritization, t-shirt sizing and delivering.
  • Knowledgeable of typical 3rd party contract KPIs and SLAs, quality controls, and day-to-day team cost management.
  • Ability to independently manage cost and effective execution of external SI providers in product development and maintenance activities.
  • Coach and mentor development teams, fostering skill growth and technical excellence.
  • Lead development teams with a focus on efficient delivery and maintaining high technical standards.
  • Participate in the architectural evolution of both front-end and back-end systems in collaboration with lead developers from each team.


Product Implementation and Review

  • Help shape the product vision together with the Product owner and list out technical solutions/approaches/challenges, set priorities from a technical perspective.
  • Review and approve analysis for new functionalities or feature implementations.
  • Recommend architectural advancements to ensure the software evolves efficiently.


Documentation and Standards

  • Document key architectural changes and software evolution to maintain clarity and direction.
  • Establish and enforce standards for development teams, ensuring structured and efficient workflows.


Technology Trends and Collaboration

  • Stay up-to-date on technology trends to leverage meaningful solutions.
  • Interact with other architects to share and implement innovative ideas.
  • Participate in enterprise architecture discussions, contributing to the overall technology strategy.


Security and Compliance

  • Understand and adhere to guidelines from security, networking, and infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as Product and/or Solution expert
  • Professional experience in Product management and engineering
  • Professional experience in Finance/Trading industry is a plus
  • Certifications such as Certified Product Manager (CPM) or Agile Certified Project Manager (ACPM) are a plus
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Data management and data quality concepts high-level understanding
  • Experience with Azure Machine Learning and Azure AI Services
  • Proficiency in PowerApps, React, Angular, UML, SonarQube
  • Fluent in English essential, additional languages considered an advantage
