Own the technical roadmap for AltaForge, our AI platform.
You'll shape what the platform costs, what it can do, and what every solution built on it inherits. From model trade-offs and sovereign deployment to what becomes shared infrastructure versus a one-off.
The work is hands-on: real technical discovery, quick spikes with AI tools to validate frameworks yourself, and staying ahead of agentic programming trends to inform what we build next. Your developers and engineers are your clients too. You serve them so they can serve ours.
This is also the seat closest to the agentic layer we're building over our own tools, where agents do the work and people sign off.
What You Bring:
You have been a software engineer. Real systems shipped and maintained.
You have managed products already, from a technical perspective.
You have worked with agentic systems and LLM applications.
You have done observability, developer tooling, or platform work where your users are developers.
You work with AI tooling every day. Claude, agents, Claude Code.
You have made technology choices and lived with the consequences, and you know what to look for the second time.
You have real experience speaking with engineers and you value their perspective, and you can explain a technical call to someone who is not a software engineer.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Knowledge graphs and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
Experience working with Enterprise or Public Sector clients, and the security and procurement realities that come with them.
Skills Required
- Prior experience as a software engineer, including shipping and maintaining real systems
- Prior technical product management experience
- Experience with agentic systems and LLM applications
- Experience with observability, developer tooling, or platform work serving developer users
- Daily experience using AI tooling such as Claude, agents, or Claude Code
- Experience making technology choices and managing their consequences
- Experience communicating effectively with engineers and explaining technical decisions to non-engineers
- Experience with knowledge graphs and Retrieval-Augmented Generation systems
- Experience with enterprise or public sector clients, including related security and procurement requirements
