Role Summary

This role leads the strategic vision and roadmap for a technical product, demonstrating an understanding of the product(s) and associated business areas. Products often have divisional implications. This role also leverages market research and user feedback to influence product direction, innovation, and enhancements throughout the product life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical product management services on a product, applying functional technical expertise to improve product results. Participates in the design and continuous improvement of the technical solution.

• Coaches technical product teams towards best practices and learnings. Ensures delivery of messaging, communication, and customer outreach as necessary.

• Partners with stakeholders to resolve production and implementation issues in a timely manner, and supports/drives escalations where required to enable rapid delivery.

• Leads the planning, development and implementation of a new technical product. Defines and analyzes technical markets, developing detailed product features and requirements, and developing implementation plans.

• Employs a variety of qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques to continually improve the user experience.

• Participates in and provides recommendations for ongoing business planning and departmental prioritization activities.

• Participates in the team’s engineering practices in development, continuous integration, and automated deployment.

• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

• Manages the entire product life cycle from planning to execution in alignment with organizational strategy and objectives.

• Conducts market research and analyzes consumer trends to identify opportunities for product innovation and enhancement.

• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define product features and functions and supports product development execution.

• Prepares detailed product documentation and provides technical support to sales and marketing teams.

• Gathers and incorporates market feedback to evaluate and steer current and future product functionality.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical product management or related roles, with 2 years of experience managing projects preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

• Must have: Appian platform knowledge (other similar platform like Camunda), backlog management, requirements elicitation and definition, Agile / Scrum product ownership, JIRA/Confluence,
  Roadmap planning.

• Nice to have: Process mapping, stakeholder management, user story writing, testing / UAT coordination, market research and user feedback analysis, product documentation, stakeholder communication.

• Strong verbal and written communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving, Learning Agility abilities.

• Preferred certifications include Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Pragmatic Institute certifications, or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager. Financial Services or function-specific experience is an added advantage.
