Overview:
PTC, a global provider of CAD, PLM, IoT and AR solutions, is looking for a Technical Product Manager-Senior Lead to join our Pune development center. In this role you will be working on developing top 3D MCAD tool Creo.
As a Technical Product Manager-Senior Lead, you will follow projects from design to implementation, tracking each step of the software delivery process from initial approaches to customer feedback.
As part of your job at PTC, you will:
- Take requirements from Product Managers and customers and convert them into the new features for the product.
- Participate or lead Integrated Scrum Teams throughout the software development cycle.
- Be directly responsible for writing approaches, specifications, and stories for new development.
- Become a subject matter expert in Creo functional areas.
Responsibilities:
- Translate Product Management requirements into detailed product specifications while practicing user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Responsible for the design specifications that drive the product backlog.
- Bring a user perspective to the design of our products, ensuring that we deliver products that our customers want to use.
- Manage the scope of content within release constraints.
- Work closely with Product Management, Development, Quality Assurance, User Experience, and User Assistance teams to align on the product road map and provide updates on release progress.
- Work with ISTs/scrum teams to prioritize backlog while keeping Product Management informed.
- Work with engineering teams to produce delivery estimates for new features and products.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Expertise in CAD tool (Creo preferred)
- Applied knowledge of product design techniques for highly technical products.
- Experience or knowledge of Windchill or any PLM software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable interacting with technical and business professionals at every level.
Experience:
- Design experience with CAD software (preferably Creo).
- Experience with other CAD tools and related products would be an advantage.
- Demonstrated success in product design processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, with strong academic performance.
- 8+ years of product design with Creo.
