This role sits at the intersection of product, data engineering, and analytics. It is critical to develop our modelling capabilities and scale these with the needs of the business while enabling high-quality, reliable and actionable data for our clients.

Main Responsibilities

Working in the Long Term Power customer segment, you will be collaborating with our product, data, research, modelling, data science and engineering teams and reporting to the Product Director. You will drive product delivery, set a roadmap and continuously deliver value to our customers.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Defining the product vision and strategy for key features within our products, ensuring alignment with business goals, including the roadmap and development of our asset revenue forecasting models

  • Leading a wide and varied cross-functional team in the development and execution of product roadmaps

  • Building, maintaining, and prioritising a product backlog by writing user stories that include clear acceptance and testing criteria

  • Manage product lifecycles from conception to launch, prioritising based on business needs and user feedback

  • Analyse market trends and competitor products to identify opportunities

  • Collaborate with analysts and data scientists to refine models and improve performance

  • Collaborate and align with the research and modelling teams to balance their needs with external clients

  • Monitor product performance and ensure it meets established KPIs

  • Lead product launch efforts and support marketing and sales teams

Key Skills & Experience

You will be passionate about solving complex customer problems and bringing great products to market.

Essential Skills

  • Manage large groups of stakeholders that include senior leadership and subject matter experts

  • Write clear product documents, define success metrics and set acceptance criteria

  • Being able to explain the value of technical ideas in a way that makes sense to both engineers and business teams

  • Leading discovery and managing products that deliver exceptional value to customers

  • Experience of tackling big problems, which require complex problem solving

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Skills

  • Leading teams that include data scientists, engineers, analysts and modellers – being able to remove obstacles so work moves forward quickly

  • A keen interest in harnessing ML and AI to solve customer problems

  • Prior experience working in the renewable energy or any other regulated B2B sector

  • A keen interest in making a difference to the way we power the planet
