Technical interface with Truck & Bus OEM customers in Japan & Asia Pacific regions, promoting Howmet´s value proposition of the product brand Alcoa® Wheels, the product advantage and sustainability offer
Accountable for fostering and strengthening Truck & Bus OEM customer relationships primarily in Japan, but also the Asia Pacific region within the technical and sustainability community to facilitate acquisition of new business.
Strong involvement in Truck & Bus OEM, specific product demand analysis both in product aspect but also environmental aspect, driving the product commercial launch and after sales activities
Develop, build up, and strengthen relationships with the truck industry’s global adjacent suppliers (Component Suppliers such as Tire MFG, Axle MFG, Brake MFG)
Commercial interface with internal and external test labs
Fostering and strengthening relationships within the industry’s standards organizations
Monitor relevant policies and legislation in Japanese markets as well as the Asia Pacific regions and provide expertise to internal and external stakeholder
have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or comparable
Japanese language at native level
have a basic understanding of product design, FEA (finite element methods), FMEA (failure modes and effects analysis), DVP&R (design validation plan and report), quality systems, and PPAP (production part approval process)
have experience in technical collaboration and negotiation with Truck & Bus OEM
have a basic understanding of major industry quality standards and systems for the commercial transportation industry
- are experienced with Project Management
- have very good verbal and written English language skills
