The Technical Product Manager supports the Product & Portfolio Management team by helping coordinate product development activities, translate market and customer requirements into actionable product inputs, and support execution across North America. This role serves as a technical and product-facing bridge between Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Business Development, Operations, Marketing, and other internal stakeholders.

The position supports development and maintenance of Product Standards groups aligned by vertical market, including transportation, medical, industrial, defense, and aerospace. These Product Standards groups are intended to improve consistency across product lines, support platform reuse, define common product expectations, identify capability gaps, and provide a structured forum for aligning customer needs, market requirements, compliance considerations, and product development priorities.

This role is intended to carry strong technical and product-development expectations while remaining cross-functional and product-facing. The position does not initially carry people-management responsibility; instead, it provides specialized product development coordination, requirements interpretation, standards organization, and execution support for portfolio activities, product readiness, and lifecycle planning.

Essential   Duties & Responsibilities:

·  Support   Product Managers in developing, documenting, and executing product plans,   product requirements, roadmap inputs, and lifecycle activities across   assigned product lines.

· Translate customer, market, and technical   requirements into clear, actionable product inputs for Product Management,   Engineering, Sales, Business Development, Operations, and Marketing.

· Develop, maintain, and improve Product Standards   groups aligned by vertical market, including transportation, medical,   industrial, defense, and aerospace.

· Coordinate Product Standards group activities,   meeting inputs, action items, documentation, and follow-up actions to support   consistent product expectations and decision-making across verticals.

· Define and maintain vertical-specific product   standards, product architecture expectations, compliance considerations,   capability matrices, gap lists, assumptions, and next-step actions.

· Support the use of standard product architectures,   reusable platforms, modular design approaches, and consistent requirements   across product lines where applicable.

· Support tracking, coordination, and review of   product development schedules, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and   risks for assigned initiatives.

· Coordinate with R&D, Product Management,   Operations, Marketing, Sales, Business Development, and Supply Chain to   maintain alignment between product plans, customer needs, and development   deliverables.

· Support customer, partner, and internal   stakeholder discussions by providing technically accurate product input,   standards context, and development status information.

· Track relevant industry trends, certification   requirements, regulatory considerations, customer expectations, and   competitive activity impacting assigned vertical markets.

· Support product readiness reviews including   documentation, validation alignment, launch preparation, sales enablement,   product messaging, and internal stakeholder readiness.

· Support RFP, RFQ, proposal, and customer response   activities by providing product development input, capability alignment,   standards information, and technical positioning support.

· Support development of sales and marketing   collateral by validating product messaging, claims, technical content, and   vertical-specific positioning.

· Monitor customer feedback, product performance   input, and market response to recommend product improvements, roadmap   adjustments, or new development opportunities.

· Support product lifecycle management activities   including new product introduction, sustaining improvements, obsolescence   planning, feature enhancements, and end-of-life coordination.

· Build and maintain working relationships with   internal stakeholders, product teams, engineering resources, sales teams, and   external partners to improve product alignment and execution.

· Provide regular status updates to leadership   regarding product development progress, open risks, standards group activity,   resource needs, schedule concerns, and recommended actions.

· Drive continuous improvement in product   development processes, documentation quality, requirements tracking,   standards organization, and cross-functional communication practices.

· Experience working with embedded computing   systems, hardware platforms, boards, modules, systems, or complex technical   products preferred.

· Ability to read and interpret customer   requirements, product specifications, technical standards, compliance   expectations, and market requirements and convert them into practical product   inputs and action plans.

· Experience supporting product lifecycle, roadmap   planning, product standards, product requirements, RFP/RFQ responses,   customer discussions, launch readiness, or project coordination preferred.

· Familiarity with vertical market requirements for   transportation, medical, industrial, defense, and aerospace applications   preferred.
