We are seeking a highly technical Product Line Manager to lead the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management of our Observability Platform supporting retail commerce infrastructure including POS systems, self-checkout devices, store edge infrastructure, and cloud services.
This role sits at the intersection of platform engineering, telemetry, distributed systems, AI-driven observability, and product strategy.
The Product Line Manager will define how telemetry signals from hardware, operating systems, middleware, and applications are collected, processed, analyzed, and transformed into intelligent operational insights and automated responses.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and evolve the product vision and strategy for the Observability Platform.
- Identify opportunities to deliver telemetry-driven operational intelligence across hardware devices, operating systems, middleware, and applications.
- Translate customer needs and operational challenges into scalable platform capabilities.
- Align the observability platform strategy with broader edge computing, cloud platform, and retail infrastructure initiatives.
Product Line Ownership
•Own the full product lifecycle including strategy, roadmap development, prioritization, release planning, and lifecycle management.
•Define the platform capability roadmap including telemetry collection, data processing, analytics, visualization, and automated response mechanisms.
•Manage product evolution across multiple technology layers.
- Observability Platform Architecture
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define and evolve the architecture.
- Ensure the platform supports high-volume telemetry ingestion across large fleets of retail devices and systems.
AI-Driven Observability & AIOps
- Define product capabilities that enable AI-driven operational intelligence, including:
- anomaly detection across metrics, logs, and traces
- Intelligent alert correlation
- predictive failure detection
- root cause analysis automation
- capacity and performance forecasting
- operational behavior baselining
- Work with engineering and data teams to enable machine learning models that analyze telemetry data and generate proactive operational insights.
Required Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
•7+ years of experience in product management, platform engineering, or technical product leadership
•3+ years managing platform or infrastructure products
