Support product development and production engineering for a paper production area: calibrate lab hardware, run tests and trials, document procedures, support production teams, participate in quality audits, and occasionally work non-business hours.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Report to Technical Director. Entry level role to specific production area process engineering.
- Calibrate laboratory hardware daily and perform routine inventory.
- Perform laboratory testing for Product Development projects.
- Coordinate/document Product Development trials.
- Update documentation of laboratory procedures and systems as changes are made/added.
- Provide technical support to the production department engineers and managers as needed.
- Active involvement in paper quality audits and evaluations.
- Non-business hours may be required to support operations and trials.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Extensive knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn the paper production processes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to serve as a liaison with developers, project managers, and customer support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient in CAD, SolidWorks, or similar software.
- Able to work independently and seek out new problems or opportunities as operational knowledge increases.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Electromechanical engineering required. 3.0 core GPA minimum required.
- Must be able to stand for 8-12 hours daily.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
