The role:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Principal – Bridges & Structures to lead and coordinate project delivery for transport infrastructure projects across South Africa. This is a senior role that involves providing technical guidance, project management, and leadership to ensure successful project execution.
With a minimum of 15+ years of experience in major infrastructure projects, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring technical standards and client requirements are met
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to maintain quality and timely project deliverables
- Overseeing the commercial success of projects
- Applying strong project management principles to deliver on time and within scope
With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an engineering design consultancy and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
Suitable applicants will have/be:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering
- Professional Engineer certification (or working towards certification)
- 15+ years of experience in civil/structural design, with a strong focus on bridge structures
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality results
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work in a culturally diverse environment
