As a Principal Architect at JPMorganChase within Prime Finance, you will focus on Technical Architecture, Agentic AI & Messaging Technologies and use this senior leadership role to promote the architectural vision, design, and implementation of complex, scalable, and secure technology solutions. Job responsibilities
- Architectural leadership: Define and evolve enterprise architecture standards, patterns, and best practices.
- Strategy & vision: Partner with senior stakeholders to shape technology and AI strategy aligned to business goals and scalability.
- Agentic AI integration: Architect and implement autonomous AI workflows that can act, decide, and adapt in changing environments.
- Solution design: Lead design/review of mission-critical platforms ( message-based, data-centric and growing AI approach) for security, robustness, and scale.
- Messaging technologies: Design and optimize high-throughput, low-latency messaging (e.g., Kafka, AMPS) for reliable distributed communication.
- Database architecture: Architect relational and NoSQL data stores (e.g., Oracle/RDS, MongoDB/DynamoDB) for integrity, performance, and growth.
- Technical oversight: Guide teams on architectural adoption, engineering excellence, and code quality across core languages and platforms.
- Governance: Establish documentation, review processes, and compliance controls for AI, messaging, and data systems.
- Risk management: Identify and mitigate technical and AI risks; build resilient and reliable systems.
- Global coordination & collaboration: Align product, business, and operations across regions to translate requirements into deliverable solutions.
- Portfolio, stakeholders & change: Drive application harmonization/integration, manage stakeholder alignment, and champion adoption of standards across geographies.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Applied experience in software engineering, with recent experience in a technical architecture leadership role.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale, distributed systems in a complex enterprise environment.
- Deep expertise in architectural frameworks, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, APIs, and security.
- Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and modern software development methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience with Agentic AI systems, autonomous agents, and advanced machine learning frameworks.
- Extensive hands-on experience with message-based technologies such as Apache Kafka and AMPS, including design, deployment, and optimization.
- Advanced proficiency in Java and Python, including architectural design, development, and code review in both languages.
- Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, Amazon RDS) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, AWS DynamoDB), including schema design, performance tuning, and data modeling.
Experience managing and coordinating technology initiatives across multiple regions and applications.
- Expertise with data architecture and event driven architecture. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Expertise with the Prime Finance or Securities Lending business domain
