Job Description:
As a Technical Part Sales Representative at BW Papersystems, you will play a pivotal role in delivering diversified sales and customer service support. Your responsibilities encompass building and nurturing customer relationships, selling manufacturing products and services, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction through technical expertise and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide prompt responses to incoming inquiries, offering light mechanical support by addressing questions related to machine features and functions.
- Read drawings and identify various mechanical/ industrial parts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical and logistical issues, recommending effective solutions to enhance customer experiences.
- Actively engage in sales activities, advising customers on product substitutions, upgrades, modifications, and identical replacement parts.
- Initiate outbound sales calls using prepared scripts and tailored questions to potential clients.
- Generate MAPICS quotes, maintain correspondence, provide order status updates, and complete quotes upon receipt of purchase orders.
- Coordinate sales efforts in alignment with marketing and other departments.
- Conduct on-site visits to customer locations as needed.
- Participate in the return process, identifying root causes, or directing cases to the appropriate team when necessary.
- Identify new market opportunities, product enhancements, and adjacent-service potentials.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned to contribute to the success of the team and organization.
Experience and Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3+ years of customer serve experience preferred
- Mechanical / Industrial knowledge preferred
- Good organizational skills required
- Ability to read blueprints a plus
- Must be able to be flexible for an on-call rotation
