B. Position Summary

The is a full-time, FLSA-exempt position that is not eligible for overtime compensation.

This role is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of aircraft maintenance training comply with FAA 14 CFR Part 121 requirements and the Company's General Maintenance Manual (GMM). The Maintenance The Technical Operations Training Compliance Specialist coordinates training events with vendors and Eastern Airlines personnel, maintains training documentation, and manages the tracking and reporting of initial and recurrent training requirements.

C. Duties and Responsibilities

The Maintenance Training Coordinator reports directly to the Manager of Maintenance Training (MMT) and is responsible for maintaining records in accordance with 14 CFR §121.375 requirements.

Training Records Administration

Responsible for documenting all training activities and maintaining accurate employee training records, including:

  • Individual training files
  • Maintenance Department Individual Training Record Summaries
  • Aircraft Maintenance Authorization Cards
  • Computerized Maintenance Tracking System (CMTS) records related to employee status, position qualifications, training requirements, and organizational affiliation
Training Coordination and Systems Management
  • Coordinate maintenance training events with internal personnel and external vendors.
  • Continuously monitor, assess, and support vendor training and authorization processes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for AMOS Maintenance Training and related system functionality requirements.
  • Act as System Administrator for:
    • AMOS
    • SilverWings
    • SkyPrep
    • CPaT
Compliance and Recordkeeping
  • Analyze and evaluate training forms in accordance with the Maintenance Training Manual.
  • Ensure all required training documentation is completed accurately and maintained in personnel training files.
  • Maintain training records for all Eastern Airlines and contract maintenance personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with all training requirements outlined in the Maintenance Training Manual.
  • Maintain documentation demonstrating satisfactory completion of required training.
Training Program Support
  • Work closely with the Manager of Maintenance Training to maintain records and provide departmental administrative support.
  • Develop training schedules and assist with curriculum delivery for maintenance training programs.
  • Generate and distribute monthly certification reports identifying:
    • Currently qualified employees
    • Recurrent training due dates
  • Evaluate maintenance training software solutions and provide recommendations for implementation.
  • Support the development of a culture of continuous improvement throughout the Maintenance organization.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Complete and maintain all required forms and documentation associated with employee training records.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the:
    • Aircraft Maintenance Training Manager
    • Director of Quality
    • Vice President, Maintenance & Engineering
D. Education, Qualifications, and RequirementsEducation
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree in a technical, aviation-related, or business field preferred.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate preferred but not required.
Experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an instructional or training capacity required.
  • Previous experience managing training records, training systems, or learning management systems preferred.
Knowledge and Technical Skills
  • Working knowledge of the duties, responsibilities, and authorities associated with this position.
  • Thorough understanding of Eastern Airlines manuals, policies, procedures, and applicable Operations Specifications.
  • Knowledge of training requirements outlined in the Maintenance Training Manual.
  • Strong proficiency in:
    • Microsoft Word
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with:
    • Online aircraft maintenance manuals
    • Computer-based training (CBT) platforms
    • Learning management systems (LMS)
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including data entry and keyboarding proficiency.
  • Ability to accurately perform basic to semi-advanced mathematical calculations.
