What you will do
- Assign work and set priorities to ensure team productivity and effectiveness.
- Balance the objective of satisfying customer requirements with the potential of downstream risks to deliver acceptable parts on schedule.
- Independently and collaboratively identify areas for improvement. Implement and ensure sustainment of any improvement measures to support department, company and/or employee growth.
- Exhibit ownership of all Tech Ops processes and actively monitor all metrics associated with the health of the department. Continuously dissect performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with management, cross functional leadership teams, and Software Development to improve processes and enhance software capabilities.
- Assist management with defining work standards and measures.
- Perform human resource tasks such as recruiting, performance management, training and development, recognition, and corrective actions.
- Act as the primary resource and liaison for resolving interdepartmental technical issues and provide expert solutions to challenges.
- Assess resource (equipment and people) needs and assist management with resource allocation.
- Analyze parts to process prototyping and production quotes and orders.
- Ensure team complies with all quality and safety standards within the department.
- Adhere to all company policies and operational procedures.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or, Business Administration or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating company specific software, preferably in a Technical Operations role.
- Knowledge and understanding of analysis and manufacturing processes within at least 2 major 3DP technology areas (SLA/AP/PLY, MJF/SLS, or DMLS or demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
- Ability to gain and retain the respect of direct reports and other employees
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent customer engagement skills
- Ability to represent the technical operations department with respect and professionalism
