Role and Responsibilities- Own the end-to-end technical onboarding process for solar projects, ensuring assets are accurately structured, connected, and validated within the company platform.
- Review engineering drawings, site layouts, and technical documentation to validate system design and configuration.
- Identify and catalog site equipment (inverters, meters, trackers, combiner boxes, etc.) and build structured, scalable asset hierarchies within internal systems.
- Coordinate integration of site Data Acquisition Systems (DAS), including data mapping, signal validation, and connectivity testing.
- Troubleshoot configuration discrepancies and drive resolution of technical gaps prior to go-live.
- Ensure assets are fully configured, quality-checked, and operationally ready for monitoring and compliance tracking.
- Proactively identify onboarding risks and partner cross-functionally to mitigate them.
- Review renewable energy project agreements to identify and abstract compliance obligations in alignment with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain onboarding documentation, implementation trackers, dashboards, and status reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather required technical and contractual information to ensure accurate system configuration.
- Communicate with clients to request documentation, clarify technical details, resolve open items, and provide onboarding status updates.
- Support the Implementation team with data entry, documentation management, and other project-related administrative tasks.
- Participate in Implementation training sessions and process workshops to strengthen contract review and compliance abstraction skills.
- B.E or B. Tech in Electrical Engineering from a reputed institution
- Minimum 2 years of related experience
- Renewal Energy (Solar) Experience
Preferred Experience
- Experience in Technical Onboarding of solar assets
- Experience in Renewable Energy/Power Generation
- Experience in reviewing contracts or project agreements
- Technical Communication: Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical documentation, and project agreements, and clearly communicate technical requirements to clients and internal teams.
- Solar & DAS Knowledge: Foundational understanding of solar PV systems, site equipment (inverters, meters, weather stations, etc.), and Data Acquisition Systems (DAS), including data flow from site DAS to monitoring or analytics platforms.
- Platform & Data Configuration: Experience mapping data points to asset hierarchies, validating incoming data streams, and supporting integrations between site DAS and software platforms.
- Planning & Execution: Ability to manage multiple onboarding projects, track technical deliverables, meet integration timelines, and maintain accurate implementation documentation.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Prepares and / or provides ad hoc reports for executive management use. - Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves data gaps, mapping discrepancies, and integration issues using structured analysis and sound judgment.
- Teamwork & Collaboration: Works effectively within cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, client stakeholders) to ensure accurate configuration, successful DAS integration, and timely onboarding.
- Technical Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data/reporting tools; comfortable working with datasets, dashboards, and configuration templates.
- Familiarity with module/inverter/tracking system technology
