We’re seeking a hands-on technical leader who can operate as a Technical Manager and lead a small engineering team. You’ll drive backend design and delivery for Network Observability capabilities, guide technical decisions, and partner cross-functionally to ship high-quality software in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities
• Lead architecture and design (including creating and maintaining design diagrams and documentation).
• Build reusable, testable, efficient backend services and APIs.
• Provide hands-on technical direction, resolve complex issues, and make key implementation decisions.
• Lead and mentor a small team (5–10), supporting growth, performance, and engagement.
• Manage execution: planning, prioritization, sprint delivery, and removing blockers.
• Implement security best practices, data protection measures, and quality standards.
• Contribute to automated testing and CI practices to ensure reliability.
• Collaborate with product, QA, and operations; coordinate training and support for delivered solutions.
Qualifications
• BS in Computer Science/Software Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Strong backend engineering experience delivering production systems.
• Java experience and REST API integration (any framework).
• Strong understanding of open source and open standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated mentoring and people leadership skills.
One or more of following areas strongly preferred:
• Databases Knowledge – Clickhouse
• OpenTelemetry
• SNMP, NetFlow, network telemetry APIs
Nice to Have
• Python
• Linux
• Familiarity with AI coding tools
