Technical Leader
Objective: Responsible for providing specialized technical support and developing the technical capacity of the RST teams (resource support team) and operational personnel, thus contributing to obtaining the maximum performance of the resources (human, machinery, materials, etc.). He/she leads the implementation of improvement projects, being a link between operations and the project, technical and maintenance areas in order to achieve the goals defined by the organization in the SQCDM indicators (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Morale).
Assures legal compliance on maintenance works
Develop to standards and assures the team works to it (Safety, Quality,CL, CILs… etc) and secure the availability of standard technical documentation.
Define and spread the expert maintenance tools (SAP-PM, TDB, SOP’S)
Supports project implementation.
Support management of technical stops, corrective maintenance, and the elimination of breakdown times by applying DDS and problem solving tools.
Coordinates the Unit to maintain spares stocks and maintenance budget within the targets.
Plans savings via strong focus on planned maintenance and implementation of time based maintenance tools and condition monitoring.
Perform benchmarks between Lines, Teams and other factories.
Trains and transfer the knowledge to the Technical Team in Maintenance Program, and identifies competences need for the Unit
Participates in DOM’s WOM’s.
Performance management process and responsible for consequence management. Accountable for Performance Management process and responsible for consequence management within their department.
Coordinates activities in COG initiatives (variable costs of the process), participates in risk analysis and ensures the generation of FMEA (failure mode and effects analysis).
Leads the development of new materials, ensures generation and follow-up of FMEA, supervises compliance with the SOP-021 procedure.
Coordinates and supervises daily activities of the technical support team according to the plan established in the weekly and monthly reviews of the business unit.
Is responsible for prioritizing chronic losses, participates together with the RST in the elimination of chronic losses through the use of the RCA methodology (root cause analysis).
Creates and reinforces behaviors that support continuous improvement and the culture of loss elimination through the sustainable implementation of work systems.
Leads the activities of his work team in his technological area since he is an expert in the processes and technologies of the production lines. Shares knowledge and ensures its transfer within the team.
Education: Electromechanical engineering, control and automation, mechanics, mechatronics, electronics or with a degree.
Language: Conversational English (essential)
Experience: More than 5 years in operations/manufacturing, projects or similar.
Management of unionized and employee personnel
Knowledge: safety tools, TPM, continuous improvement, interpretation of electrical and pneumatic plans.
