Role Overview
- Looking for a senior professional (8–10 years) who can work across data engineering and data insights, not just pipeline building
- Role requires someone who can build pipelines, understand data deeply, and generate insights
- Strong focus on data quality, validation, and sense-checking before consumption
- Work in a fast-paced FinTech environment with high ownership and minimal guidance
- Expected to leverage AI and agentic workflows to improve efficiency and outcomes
- Ideal candidate acts as an AI enabler, not just a developer
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage ETL/ELT pipelines, especially ingesting data via APIs
- Use AI tools (e.g., Claude, Codex) to improve development efficiency
- Work with Snowflake and S3 for scalable data storage and processing
- Perform data validation, QC, and sense-checking to ensure reliability
- Analyse datasets to derive meaningful insights for business decision-making
- Identify data issues, inconsistencies, and resolve them proactively
- Translate business needs into practical and scalable data solutions
- Integrate and manage multiple API-based data sources
- Contribute to or build Agentic AI workflows where applicable
- Take end-to-end ownership of problems with minimal supervision
Required Skills & Qualifications
· 8–10 years of experience in data engineering + data analytics + AI-related roles
· Most important skills are to learn and upskill quickly in newer domains using AI sources and get things done
· Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
· Experience or familiarity with AI coding assistants (Claude, Codex, etc.)
· Experience working with Snowflake and S3 and building API-driven data pipelines
· Strong understanding of data quality, validation, and QC processes
· Ability to analyse data and generate actionable insights
· Exposure to or experience with Agentic AI systems
· Strong problem-solving skills and independent working ability
· Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a rapidly evolving, AI-driven environment
Education
Bachelor’s/master’s degree in engineering, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
