This is a Technical Lead position at Ericsson R&D Bangalore where you get to work with a team of highly motivated engineers in delivering Ericsson's Multimedia Telephony Application Server (MTAS) features for VoLTE, VoWifi and other IMS enabled solutions.
MTAS is Ericsson's Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) application server for IP telephony and multimedia which meets all necessary large network telephony requirements. MTAS is part of Ericsson's Cloud VoLTE and Evolved Communication portfolio.
Within MTAS Development organization, Agile methodology and philosophy are practiced in spirit. A relatively flat system of cross-functional teams reporting into line managers who then report to a Product Development Group Head.
What you will do
- You will drive strategic technical leadership
- Perform continuous analysis and requirement handling.
- You are continuously experimenting and learning more.
- Perform trouble shooting and customer support
- Develop competence in technical domain
You will bring
- 5 - 8 years of overall IMS design experience with a minimum of 2 years on a virtualized telecom carrier grade product
- MUST HAVE strong knowledge of IMS nodes, SIP, MEGACO and Diameter protocols
- Good knowledge of IMS architecture, 3GPP, GSMA\VoLTE specifications
- Strong experience in breakdown of customer requirements into user-story based team backlog
- Open to considering and bringing newer design paradigms to improve product architecture
- Demonstrated ability to bring in product innovations of significant business value
- Prior experience in virtualization of network functions would be a big advantage
- Comfortable with OOPS / Design Patterns / STL on Linux
- Excellent programming skills in C++ on Linux based platforms
- Knowledge in cloud native and microservices architectures
- Familiarity with Kubernetes PaaS or serverless services
- Hands-on experience with Docker containers, Kubernetes, and Helm
- Creative problem-solving skills and excellent troubleshooting / debugging skills
- Solid understanding of Python / PERL or any scripting language
- Should technically lead an Agile cross functional team
- Sufficient multi-functional skills to understand and develop / modify automated test cases
- Solid work ethic, customer focus, team player with passion for delivering world class solutions.
- Strong Written and Verbal Communication.
- B. Tech Degree in CS/EC/EE or related studies.
