ROLE
Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications. Has a working knowledge of a variety of technical concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Follows disciplined software development practices. Up-to-date on current and best practices related to software development
YOUR-DAY TO DAY
Implementation of new feature work and improvements to existing application features
Performing Code Reviews on Peer and Cross team submissions
Collaborating with QA to ensure we deliver testable, secure solutions
Demonstrating and presenting work to colleagues and Product Management
Working with other product teams to deliver cross product functionality and ensure interoperability
Maintaining the existing code base working on bug reports
Communicating and collaborating with Technical Support to provide solutions to customer issues
Maintaining and extending our build and test framework
Preferred skills & Knowledge
• Core Java, SQL, Rest APIs, JSP, Angular, JQuery, JavaScript
Knowledge of Git an advantage
Knowledge of Visual Studio and Eclipse an advantage
Strong communication skills and ability to work both in a team environment and independently
Preferred Experience
3-6 years experience in Java & SQL
Experience of Agile development methodologies an advantage
Basic Qualification
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering
