Job Description – Sr.Technical Lead - SDET
Job Summary
You will be working in an Agile team within the Thales DIS/MCS Business Line, attached to DES - Thales
Adaptive Connect (TAC)- feature team.
The ideal candidate for our team is passionate about creative solutions to our technical problems. You have
technical curiosity, drive for results, but at the same time you embody ownership at the business level and
contribute to product development.
As an Automation Testing Practitioner, you will Design, build, test and deploy effective testing solutions
which reduce the amount of manual effort in the testing process.
You will also be in touch with the various MCS teams & customer to understand their needs, to thus
maintain a roadmap for the components you will be in charge of, and then to support the teams in
deploying these components in their environment.
Job Skills & Qualifications
Education, experience
 Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems or equivalent
work experience is required.
 A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
Technical Skills
Development & Validation
 Experience in Microservice Architecture based applications developed using Java. (must have)
 Good have experience Telecom domain experience UICC/ SIM Card/ e-Sim ,Protocols like SGP 32 /
SGP 22 / GSM etc.
 Expert in development and execution validation plans. Identify and implement process
improvements to enhance validation efficiency and effectiveness.
 Conduct validation studies, analyze data, and prepare comprehensive validation reports.
 Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
 Knowledge of performance and Tuning/Capacity planning of Microservice/Cloud based
application. (must have)
 Expert in HTTP /HTTPS / SSL /TLS Protocols. (must have)
 Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment using Gitlab.
THALES GROUP LIMITED DISTRIBUTION - SCOPE
 Python & Karate FW for API test-automation, mocks, non-functional testing knowledge is good to
have.
Architecture & Deployment
 Sound knowledge and hands on with Docker, Kubernetes,Helm and microservice based
architecture. (must have)
 Experience in Linux and shell scripting (nice to have).
 Expert knowledge on SQL databases. No SQL is good to have (Cassandra)
 Good knowledge on deployment and monitoring over AWS and GCP.
 Good knowledge on software security principles.
Delivery Tools
 Good knowledge on CI/CD using Gitlab, Build tools like Maven Version Control – Mercurial. (must
have)
 Candidate must be hands on with software delivery process & tools – Scrum, Kanban & Jira.
 Experience on Static code analysis with Sonar, Fortify etc is required.
 Knowledge on confluence/Bitbucket will be a plus.
