Technical Lead - PHP and Angular

Job Purpose:

This role is responsible for being a hands-on leader for the eInsight Sales (B2B) application team, which is based on the SuiteCRM application. You will be responsible for driving the development of our SuiteCRM-based application. This includes building new modules, integrating with other systems, and delivering an Angular-based front-end experience. Our environment is hosted in Microsoft Azure with a MySQL backend.

Job Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

• Driving the team’s implementation of the product roadmap
• Owning the technical roadmap for the application
• Extend and optimize SuiteCRM’s backend using PHP and MySQL.
• Build and maintain B2B’s Angular components
• Develop and maintain REST APIs for integrations with internal and external systems
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions
• Ensure database integrity, performance, and query optimization for large datasets
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of development practices
• Work with DevOps to support deployments and application monitoring in Azure
• Stay up to date with SuiteCRM upgrades and contribute to roadmap planning for new features
• Contribute and conduct development tests including but not exclusive to unit, integration and system level
• Follow company software development standards and best practices
• Provide estimates for development tasks based on the appropriate business constraints
• Mentor and support mid-level and junior developers’ work
• Provide on-call support as necessary

Job Requirements:

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years PHP development experience
• Experience leading a development team
• Hands-on experience with Angular (v10+) for building SPAs and integrating with RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in MySQL, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Solid understanding of software design patterns and best practices in CRM development.
• Experience with Agile (Scrum) Software Development Process and methodologies
• Experience with SuiteCRM or SugarCRM is a major plus
• Hands-on experience using testing frameworks is a plus
• Experience with database management and security a plus

Work Timings:

Monday through Friday from 12 PM to 9 PM IST to provide healthy overlap between India team and US team and supporting both to ensure adequate collaboration. This role will be working in Hybrid Mode and will require at least 2 days’ work from office at Hyderabad. Occasional evening and weekend work may be expected in case of job-related emergencies or client needs.
