Role OverviewThe Network Security Technical Lead will act as a senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for leading advanced network security operations, major incident escalations, architecture guidance, and secure change implementations across enterprise environments.
This role requires deep technical expertise in firewalls, routing & switching, VPN technologies, SD-WAN, data center networking, and security best practices. The candidate will mentor L2/L3 engineers, ensure governance and documentation standards, and drive operational excellence aligned with customer SLAs.
Key Responsibilities Technical LeadershipProvide L3/L4 escalation support for complex network and security incidents.
Lead troubleshooting bridges during major incidents and ensure RCA documentation.
Review and approve firewall, VPN, and network security configuration changes.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for network stability and security posture.
Manage and support enterprise firewall environments (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
Configure and troubleshoot IPSec/SSL VPNs, site-to-site tunnels, and remote access.
Support routing & switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, HSRP).
Handle NAT policies, access control policies, URL filtering, IDS/IPS.
Support SD-WAN environments and edge security solutions.
Provide design validation and implementation support for new network security deployments.
Perform risk assessments and recommend security hardening strategies.
Participate in security audits and compliance reviews.
Maintain accurate documentation (HLD, LLD, SOPs, KB Articles).
Ensure all changes are implemented via ITIL-based change management processes.
Support audit and compliance requirements.
Mentor L2/L3 engineers and conduct technical knowledge-sharing sessions.
Coordinate with global teams, vendors, and customers.
Provide technical reports and service improvement recommendations.
