About the Role

You will work closely with innovative individuals to design robust and scalable software solutions to address a wide range of logistical challenges in the healthcare sector. You will be a technical reference in development and will be able to assess the relevance of adopting emerging technological innovations in our practices. You will contribute by participating in brainstorming sessions, understanding requirements thoroughly, and performing technical design and solution programming. You will work in a scrum team focused on continuous improvement of methods, tools, and practices. Finally, your ability to collaborate with cross-functional disciplines, build trust among peers, and positively influence others will help you successfully tackle challenges.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Being an active member of an agile development team in which you will design, develop, review code, and test;
  • Challenging the status quo and seeking innovative approaches to problems;
  • Building strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders to develop a balanced solution between client requirements and technical imperatives;
  • Collaborating with the operations team to ensure product reliability;
  • Ensuring that functional requirements (performance and scalability) are met;
  • Contributing to retrospectives for continuous improvement of team processes and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • At least 10+ years of hands-on experience in developing Full-Stack applications
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience leading technical teams as a Tech Lead
  • Proven ability to positively influence and drive change within a team, inspiring colleagues along the way
  • A collaborative team player who fearlessly challenges the status quo and is passionate about enhancing code, practices, and processes
  • Always considers the business perspective while prioritizing technical work, effectively translating business needs into impactful decisions
  • Proficient in utilizing the AWS cloud platform to build scalable and efficient solutions
  • Expertise in Back-End technologies like Node.js and Java
  • Proficient in Front-End technologies such as Vue.js and/or React.js
  • Experience with Web technologies like HTML, JavaScript/Typescript, and CSS
  • Strong experience in writing unit tests using Jest, Junit
  • Holds a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or software engineering
  • Strong proficiency in both written and verbal English communication essential for effective correspondence with clients, suppliers, business partners, and colleagues beyond the province of Quebec.

  • Experience with NoSQL (DynamoDB, ElasticSearch, or OpenSearch);
  • Experience with RDBMS (PostgreSQL);
  • Experience with pub/sub (SNS/SQS, ActiveMQ);
  • Experience with EDI and version control systems (VSCode, Git, Gitlab);
  • Experience with serverless technologies or systems (Serverless);
  • Experience with Docker and containerization;
  • Practical experience with services and REST architecture;
  • Experience with CI/CD approach;
  • Experience with supply chain concepts.
