GEOAxIS is looking for a Technical Lead to work with the technical leadership team to help drive program technical execution, innovation and modernization.
The GEOAxIS system provides Identity, Credential and Access Management for all web applications. GEOAxIS enables online, on-demand, access to NGA GEOINT content based on user’s authoritative attributes/roles. Our Mission is to maintain highly available ICAM services for protecting those critical mission applications across all security domains. Under the GxNext contract awarded to Leidos in 2021, our mission is to maintain resilient and scalable ICAM services through 2031.
Primary Responsibilities
Suggest technical improvements and enhancements to the GEOAxIS architecture
Contribute to strategic design initiatives that drive long-term technical innovation
Collaborate with external stakeholders to address mission-critical needs
Provide hands on implementation assistance to development and operational teams
Assist in leading design efforts for integrating new ICAM technologies and services
Minimize technical debt via automation and DevOps best practices
Increase GEOAxIS availability and observability
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree with 8-12 years of experience in Software Development, DevOps, or Systems Engineering, additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.
Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain a Polygraph
At least 2+ Year of DevOps experience
Experience in at least one of the following languages: Bash, Python, Java, NodeJS
Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
Exceptional communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical audiences
Strong interpersonal skills and proven track record of leading technical teams, conveying technical solutions to technical and non-technical audiences
Candidate must be able to physically be in Chantilly, VA a minimum of 4 days a week to work with the team with occasional meetings in Reston and/or Springfield, VA
All candidates must be US CITIZENS to be considered for the position
Preferred Qualifications
1+ year of experience in ICAM systems
Experience designing/supporting RESTful or SOAP services
Hands-on knowledge of container technologies and orchestration platforms (Rancher RKE2, OpenShift)
Experience containerizing legacy software systems
Familiarity with DevOps tools: Ansible, ArgoCD, GitLab, Nexus3, Kubernetes
Relevant certifications: RHCSA/RHCE, AWS Solutions Architect/DevOps Engineer, CKA/CKAD
Strong background in Linux system administration
