Technical Lead – Energy Industry

We are looking for a Technical Delivery Lead with deep energy-industry experience to join our Cloud & Data Engineering practice. You will partner closely with the Account/Sales team to shape and qualify new opportunities with energy clients (utilities, oil & gas, renewables, grid operators) spanning cloud engineering, application engineering, DevSecOps, managed services and data engineering, then own the technical delivery of the resulting engagements — from solution architecture and proposal through implementation and go-live.

Business Development & Opportunity Generation

• Partner with Account Managers and Sales to identify, shape and qualify new business opportunities within energy-sector accounts
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with client technical and business stakeholders (IT, OT, engineering, operations leadership)
• Lead technical discovery workshops to understand client challenges, current systems landscape and business drivers
• Translate client needs into compelling, technically sound solution concepts and value propositions
• Support RFP/RFI responses, technical proposals, solution architecture documents and pricing estimates

Delivery Leadership

• Own end-to-end technical delivery of won opportunities, transitioning smoothly from sales to execution
• Define solution architecture and delivery approach across cloud engineering, application engineering, DevSecOps, managed services and data engineering workstreams, in collaboration with engineering, PM and client teams
• Lead cross-functional delivery teams (cloud/platform architects, application engineers, DevSecOps engineers, ai engineers, data engineers, PMs) to plan, execute and deliver projects on time, on budget and to scope
• Manage delivery risk, scope, dependencies and stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure solutions align with energy-industry standards, regulatory requirements and system integration best practices across cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines, application modernization, and data/analytics platforms feeding or fed by systems such as SCADA, ADMS, GIS, metering/AMI and ERP
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients during delivery, managing escalations and change requests
• Where engagements extend into Managed Services, help define operating models, SLAs and the transition from project delivery to steady-state support

Account Growth

• Identify expansion and follow-on opportunities within existing accounts based on delivery insight
• Contribute to account plans and long-term technical roadmaps for key energy clients
• Mentor junior delivery and pre-sales staff, building the team's energy-domain and delivery capability

• 8+ years in technical delivery, solution architecture or systems integration roles, with at least 4+ years focused on the energy industry (production, transmission & distribution, or grid operations)
• Proven experience supporting or leading pre-sales activity — scoping, proposal writing, solution estimation — alongside account/sales teams
• Track record leading complex, multi-workstream delivery projects spanning cloud engineering, application engineering, DevSecOps and/or data engineering, from kickoff to go-live
• Hands-on or delivery-leadership experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP), infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD and DevSecOps practices
• Working knowledge of data engineering concepts (data pipelines, data lakes/warehouses, integration of operational/IoT data) and how they connect to energy-industry systems such as SCADA/ADMS, EAM/CMMS, GIS or metering/AMI
• Strong understanding of system integration methodologies, APIs, middleware and enterprise architecture patterns
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging both client executives and technical teams
• Experience managing delivery teams (direct or matrixed), budgets and, where relevant, Managed Services/support operating models
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Familiarity with major energy-sector platforms/vendors (e.g., Oracle Utilities, SAP for Utilities, OSIsoft/AVEVA PI, Schneider Electric, GE, Siemens, ESRI GIS)
• Experience with cloud-native and DevSecOps tooling — Kubernetes, Terraform, GitOps, container security, observability stacks
• Experience with modern data engineering platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory/Synapse, AWS Glue/Redshift) applied to operational or IoT/telemetry data
• PMP, TOGAF, ITIL, or cloud architect certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Exposure to grid modernization, DERMS, renewables integration or energy-transition initiatives
• Established network of contacts within the energy industry(empty)
