Location: This is a full-time, work-from-office role with a required work-from-office presence five days a week.
Role in nutshell:
The role involves researching and solving critical, complex and challenging problems impacting our business objectives. Reporting to an Engineering Manager, you will be part of a high performing team, with primary responsibility of leading & mentoring a small group (2-3) of engineers and delivering objectives and key results.
Desired experience:
Good experience in at least one scripting language: Ruby, Nodejs, Python, AppleScript, Unix shell or similar.
Familiar with one compiled language: C, Java, C ++, Go or similar
Good working knowledge of operating systems(windows and linux) and networking concepts.
Ability to work on Windows and Linux platforms beyond user and application layers, including file systems, kernels, custom installations, shell scripting, internal APIs, etc
Relevant software engineering experience of 6+ years
What will you do?
Solving critical, complex and challenging problems by designing and developing highly scalable, available and reliable user centric applications
Contribute and lead development across web application/app layers, backend systems, databases, open source code bases, streaming and other associated technologies
Research and adapt cutting edge technologies as per product requirements in a rapid paced environment
Write & review tech specs, mentor junior engineers and review code
Take initiatives and display high levels of ownership and commitment
