The ideal candidate has experience standing up, modernizing or managing secure DoD infrastructure and understands the technical, security and operational complexities of delivering solutions within a defense environment.
This is a technical leadership and infrastructure delivery role, not a primarily hands-on engineering position or traditional program management role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and directly manage an infrastructure engineering team, including work assignments, resource capacity, priorities, schedules, technical risks, performance and quality of deliverables.
- Own infrastructure technical delivery, ensuring assigned work is completed on schedule, technical issues are resolved and team members are accountable for deliverables.
- Lead infrastructure implementation, deployment, modernization and integration efforts within a DoD environment.
- Provide technical direction and oversight for secure, scalable and resilient cloud and enterprise infrastructure, including AWS-based environments.
- Translate customer and business requirements into infrastructure implementation plans, technical priorities and achievable delivery milestones.
- Serve as a key technical point of contact for government customers, communicating progress, risks, dependencies and technical recommendations.
- Navigate DoD-specific infrastructure requirements, security controls, compliance processes, approval dependencies and implementation constraints.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity, application development, DevSecOps and other technical teams to ensure infrastructure readiness and successful deployment.
- Oversee infrastructure governance, configuration management, technical documentation, access controls and compliance with applicable security and audit requirements.
- Establish and enforce technical standards, engineering best practices, quality expectations and continuous improvement processes.
- Identify technical risks and implementation challenges early, develop mitigation plans and drive issues through resolution.
- Support the evolution of the Agentic Auditor platform by evaluating infrastructure capabilities and recommending improvements to reliability, scalability and operational effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, enterprise infrastructure implementation or a related technical discipline.

- Recent experience leading infrastructure implementation, modernization or operations supporting Department of Defense customers or environments.
- Demonstrated progression from a technical infrastructure background into a leadership or management role.
- Experience directly managing technical personnel, including assigning work, establishing priorities, monitoring performance, managing schedules and holding teams accountable for delivery.
- Strong project execution skills, including technical planning, milestone tracking, risk management, issue resolution and coordination of multiple infrastructure workstreams.
- Experience leading the implementation, deployment or management of secure, scalable and resilient enterprise or cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, including familiarity with EC2, EBS, S3, EKS and RDS.
- Understanding of DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipeline infrastructure, infrastructure automation and secure deployment processes.
- Knowledge of DoD infrastructure environments, cybersecurity requirements, security controls, configuration management and compliance processes.
- Ability to communicate effectively with government customers, technical engineers, project leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience establishing technical standards, reviewing technical deliverables and ensuring infrastructure solutions meet customer and program requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
