About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Expert in Computer Vision to join our autonomous driving team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and implementing traditional computer vision algorithms as well as deep learning, and image processing techniques and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field. They will play a pivotal role in the research, development, and implementation of computer vision solutions to address complex problems across various domains. The Technical Expert will be expected to plan, execute, and coordinate New Mobility programs. This involves collaboration with both internal and external departments, supplier companies, institutions, and academia, ensuring a broad and effective reach in the development and implementation of these technologies.
Your Responsibilities

  • Research, design, and implement state-of-the-art traditional computer vision algorithms and techniques including Feature extraction, Feature Description, Optical flow, Depth estimation, Visual SLAM, Visual tracking, and Camera calibration.
  • Develop and optimize deep learning models for computer vision tasks to make them robust and efficient.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and design appropriate solutions.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of existing algorithms and methodologies to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing sessions.


Who we are looking for

  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience (at least 3-5 years after Ph.D. or 6-8 years after MS) in computer vision research and development
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, and experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
  • Strong understanding of image processing techniques, feature extraction, and image analysis.
  • Solid mathematical foundation, including linear algebra, calculus, and statistics
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders


Your preferred qualifications

  • Traditional computer vision knowledge and experience including Feature extraction, Feature Description, Optical flow, Depth estimation, Visual SLAM, Visual tracking, and Camera calibration, etc.
  • Experience with deep learning approaches to computer vision.
  • Published research in areas of computer vision, machine learning, AI, or related fields.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
  • Expertise in programming in C/C++, Python, Matlab/Simulink, etc.
  • Strong spoken and written English language skills
