About the Role
The Senior Internal Auditor plans, performs and leads independent financial, compliance, and other specific audits to ensure established policies and procedures are followed, and operational and financial standards are met.
The role is well suited to a professional with internal or external audit or internal controls experience in the automotive manufacturing space with a solid technical background and sound understanding of Internal Audit Professional Auditing standards. A successful candidate has excellent people skills, high standards of professionalism, is detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills and is able to problem solve and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Your Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret data to determine audit scope and perform target sample selections using Data Analytics platforms.
  • Plan, perform, and lead financial, compliance, and other audits within specified time periods.
  • Utilize Internal Audit Management system to plan, perform, and document audit work.
  • Identify gaps in internal controls and provides recommendations to strengthen controls or improve processes.
  • Evaluate audit results to assess the quality and effectiveness of policies, controls, procedures, and reporting practices.
  • Draft formal audit reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and recommendations: Follow up on recommendations for process improvement and compliance.


Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business required.
  • 4+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Internal Controls, or Audit.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with good presentation abilities.
  • Strong work ethic, excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to travel offsite approximately 75% per month; Expect approximately 50% overnight travel depending on season. Travel changes due to unplanned demands may arise from time to time.


Your preferred qualifications

  • CPA and/or CIA designation
  • Experience in Accounting, Finance, Internal Controls, or Audit in Automotive Manufacturing
  • IT Audting and Fraud Investigation experience is considered an asset
  • Ability to complete a Criminal Records Check, and if deemed necessary, a Credit Check as part of the candidate selection process
