About the role.
The Technical Execution Lead acts as the local technical reference within a designated manufacturing plant, helping improve equipment and process performance and ensuring the consistent application of best operating practices. This role combines technical problem-solving, project execution, and continuous improvement, working closely with Operations, Engineering, and regional technical teams. The role contributes to operational excellence and supports the delivery of McCain's long-term business strategy.
What you'll be doing.
  • Act as the local technical expert, strengthening technical capabilities within the plant
  • Support the standardization, deployment, and continuous improvement of best operating practices
  • Conduct production line diagnostics, assess the application of Best Operating Practices, and evaluate equipment performance and capabilities
  • Lead and participate in structured technical problem-solving initiatives
  • Contribute to plant commissioning, start-up, and equipment implementation activities
  • Drive performance improvement and continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen and CI events
  • Manage the end-to-end execution of technical projects, including scope, timelines, and budget
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Operations, and regional technical and business teams
  • Support the adoption of digital tools and data-driven decision-making to improve plant performance
  • Translate strategic priorities into practical actions and operational improvements aligned with business goals
  • Train, coach, and support colleagues in the application of technical standards, tools, and best practices

What you'll need to be successful.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Master's degree is a plus)
  • Proven experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong technical knowledge in areas such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automation, or processing systems
  • Experience managing technical projects, including timelines, budgets, and multiple stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills; experience with Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma/Green Belt is a plus
  • Experience using data and digital tools to analyse performance and support decision-making; Power BI experience is a plus
  • Ability to train, coach, and develop others
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and levels
  • Fluent in English; additional language skills such as French, Dutch, or Polish are a plus depending on location
  • Ability to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment and travel occasionally within the region
