- Designs and installs machine layouts with their related infrastructure.
- Responsible for commissioning new machines or machine upgrades.
- Responsible for the installation, testing, startup, and handover of line automation equipment.
- Responsible for machine layouts and footprint optimization.
- Follows up on preventive programs, strategic spare parts, machine efficiency, waste, product quality, and cost effectiveness.
- Hands over projects to the BU Process Engineer with proper coordination with the production and maintenance teams.
- Leads machine projects for runnability, upgrades, and additional features.
- Proposes machine upgrades to align with new technology.
- Initiates and/or implements cost-saving and cost-containment programs.
- Validates ROIs periodically by updating actualized figures and analyzing the results.
- Provides guidelines to the maintenance department to support the implementation of preventive tasks.
- Provides guidelines to the maintenance department for spare part/critical part identification, selection, and specification, along with supplier validation.
- Reviews technical specifications, tender books, and sales offers, and prepares comparative sheets and decision matrices for management approval.
- Coordinates project timing and resources for the installation and commissioning of new or upgraded machinery/projects.
- Proposes technical solutions for recurring machine problems or breakdowns.
- Recommends new technical procedures and tools to enhance plant efficiency.
