- Work closely with Technology management, senior engineers, and platform teams to design, implement, and operate scalable enterprise storage solutions that meet current and future demands.
- Provision, configure, and maintain enterprise storage platforms including block (SAN), file (NAS), and object (S3-compatible) storage systems in highly available, redundant environments.
- Monitor, analyze, and tune storage system performance to ensure consistent delivery of high throughput and low latency data access for critical applications.
- Design and implement storage architectures supporting resilience, disaster recovery, and data protection requirements (e.g., replication, backup, recovery, immutability).
- Enforce and implement security controls across storage platforms including encryption, access controls, zoning, and authentication mechanisms aligned with enterprise standards.
- Support infrastructure lifecycle activities adhering to SDLC standards.
- Perform capacity planning and optimization to ensure efficient utilization of storage resources and proactive scaling aligned to business growth.
- Develop and maintain automation solutions to streamline storage provisioning, monitoring, and operational processes, reducing manual effort and improving reliability.
- Diagnose and resolve complex storage-related incidents; lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions in accordance with incident management procedures.
- Ensure all storage changes follow established change management processes, with appropriate approvals, documentation, and audit traceability.
- Coordinate with infrastructure, application, and vendor teams on integrations, upgrades, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management activities.
- Regularly engage with business partners and application teams to understand data storage requirements, performance expectations, and recovery objectives (RPO/RTO).
- Mentor and coach junior engineers; review designs, changes, and operational procedures to ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
- Maintain deep knowledge of enterprise storage technologies including SAN fabrics, all-flash arrays, replication technologies, and NAS platforms used within M&T environments.
- Support audit and regulatory activities by providing technical documentation, logs, and evidence for storage configurations and operations.
- Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, identifying and escalating risks where appropriate.

- Combined minimum of 8 years’ higher education and/or work experience in systems design, management and/or architecture
- Hands-on experience with enterprise storage platforms (e.g., NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure FlashArray and FlashBlade Storage), SAN fabrics (Cisco/Brocade), and NAS solutions.
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware) and hybrid cloud storage integrations
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in infrastructure engineering with a focus on storage and data protection technologies
- Advanced knowledge of:
- SAN/NAS/Object storage architectures
- Fibre Channel and IP-based storage networking
- Snapshot, Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery methodologies
- Storage performance tuning and capacity management
- Kubernetes containers
- Experience with automation (e.g., scripting, API-driven workflows, Infrastructure as Code, Ansible, Terraform)
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Knowledge of security and compliance requirements for enterprise data storage
