  • Conduct technical assessments on board vessels and during shipyard periods when required.

  • Collaborate closely with vessel crews, workshop teams, reliability engineers, and fellow technical engineers.

  • Contribute to the long-term reliability and performance of DEME's dredging equipment.

  • Stay informed about technical developments and innovations in dredging technology and heavy mechanical equipment.

Your profile
  • Master's degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline

  • Approximately 5 years of experience in a technical engineering, maintenance, shipbuilding, heavy industry, or similar environment.

  • Strong mechanical affinity and interest in large technical installations and heavy equipment.

  • Knowledge of steel structures, wear mechanisms, welding techniques, and mechanical repair methods.

  • Experience in maintenance engineering, workshop environments, shipyards, heavy construction equipment, or industrial installations is an asset.

  • Ability to read technical drawings and translate technical findings into practical maintenance solutions

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on mindset.

  • Comfortable working independently and developing technical solutions based on manuals, drawings, and field observations.

  • A team player who enjoys collaborating with operational and technical stakeholders.

  • Willing to travel occasionally to vessels, shipyards, and workshops. The position is predominantly HQ-based in Belgium.

Our offer
  • A challenging engineering role with exposure to a diverse fleet of highly specialized vessels.
