QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree or related experience in Television, Broadcasting, Communications, or Journalism
- Minimum 3 years broadcast television or related experience at the regional to large market or network level.
- Proficient knowledge and understanding of all TV production equipment within assigned operating area
- Knowledge of Grass Valley switchers, timelines, macros, clean feeds, DVEs and routing systems preferred.
- Basic troubleshooting skills
- Schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays with weekly schedule primarily Wednesday – Sunday
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Set up, testing and operation of production switchers and associated ancillary equipment.
- Perform technical direction duties of live programming as assigned.
- Collaborate with other Technical Directors to execute production needs.
- Ability to organize and document switcher show files, elements, and resources.
- Maintain current knowledge of technical trends in the live broadcast industry
- Communicate all technical equipment problems immediately to Engineering through the maintenance reports and assist Engineering in locating and identifying equipment problems as needed
- Special Projects or other duties as assigned
