DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the role

As the Technical Director you will:

• Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies that align with the organization's business objectives. Provide leadership and direction for the cybersecurity team.
• Achieve company revenue and strategic objectives through effective planning, goal setting, analysing performance data, and projecting future performance. 
• Provide continuous training and coaching, as well as ensure appropriate onboarding and development of new member of cybersecurity team.
• Motivate and support the high performance of the cybersecurity team ensuring goals and objectives are set, work is assigned and if necessary, implement performance improvement plans where required. 
• Work closely with Exclusive Networks sales team in the planning of meetings and activities
• Oversee the identification, evaluation, and mitigation of cybersecurity risks. Ensure that risk management practices are integrated across all levels of the organization.
• Lead efforts to prepare for, detect, respond to, and recover from cybersecurity incidents, such as data breaches or cyberattacks.
• Design and oversee the implementation of secure system architectures. Ensure that infrastructure, applications, and networks are securely configured and maintained.
• Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001). Establish and enforce policies for cybersecurity governance.
• Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats and trends. Analyse threat intelligence and share insights with the organization to proactively address vulnerabilities.
• Work closely with IT, DevOps, legal, and compliance teams to ensure that cybersecurity measures are effectively integrated into all business functions.
• Build, manage, and mentor cybersecurity teams. Lead the hiring process and foster a culture of continuous learning.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | About you

The ideal Technical Director

• Degree in IT/Computer Studies or equivalent.
• Expertise in areas like network security, application security, cloud security, endpoint security, and encryption.
• Deep understanding of security tools, firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), vulnerability management, identity and access management (IAM), and security incident and event management (SIEM).
• Experience with handling data breaches, malware, ransomware, and other cyberattacks.
• Ability to perform threat modelling, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO/IEC 27001) and compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA).
• Strong leadership skills, including the ability to manage cross-functional teams. Must be able to effectively communicate cybersecurity risks and strategies to senior executives and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven leadership experience and ability to build high performing teams.
• Proven experience in building strong and effective relationships both internally and externally and demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively.
• Languages: English proficiency (fluent)
