Senior Technical Digital Producer (AEM)
12-month fixed term contract, with the possibility of a permanent role
As a Technical Digital Producer, you will play a key role in the rebuild of our Public Website, and the continuous development of our Member Portal and Adviser Portal.
This role sits at the intersection of digital production, platform capability and technical delivery. Working within the Digital Production and Enablement team, you will partner closely with Digital Product, Content Marketing, Technology and development partners to ensure our Public Website and digital channels are built and enhanced in a scalable, maintainable and efficient way, aligned to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.5 and/or AEM as a Cloud Service) best practices.
This is a hands-on, on-the-tools role. We are looking for someone who understands how digital experiences are delivered in AEM, can translate business, content and design requirements into practical implementation guidance, and can help steer teams toward out-of-the-box AEM capabilities, reusable components, sound architecture and sustainable delivery practices.
We will count on you to:
- Partner with Digital Product and business stakeholders to understand design, customer and content architecture requirements for the Public Website rebuild and broader digital roadmap
- Work within the Digital Production and Enablement team to support authoring, workflow, publishing and page delivery requirements in AEM
- Act as a strong business-side AEM practitioner, helping ensure the platform is used effectively to support content, marketing and customer experience goals
- Collaborate with Technology teams, developers and delivery partners to translate requirements into practical implementation guidance and scalable technical solutions
- Help define how AEM components, templates, workflows, forms and configuration should be used to support business needs using best practice and reusable patterns
- Assess development approaches and advocate for solutions that maximize AEM out-of-the-box functionality, shared components, headless content reuse and long-term maintainability
- Support the development of a digital platform that is scalable, omnichannel and aligned with governance, accessibility, performance and content management standards
- Be hands-on in the platform, building, updating, testing and publishing pages, campaigns and business-driven content initiatives in AEM
- Support quality assurance, troubleshooting and defect resolution across content, templates, components and front-end behaviour prior to release
- Identify and help resolve platform, authoring and delivery issues or technical deficiencies by working across business, production and technical teams
- Help ensure content and component implementations support strong accessibility, SEO, metadata quality, discoverability and an omnichannel approach
What you need to have:
- Demonstrated experience in a technical AEM-focused digital role, such as Technical Digital Producer, AEM Business Practitioner, AEM Platform Specialist, Digital Platform Producer or similar
- Strong hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager 6.5 and/or AEM as a Cloud Service
- Strong working knowledge of AEM across Sites, editable templates, components, workflows, forms, responsive layouts, publishing and authoring models
- Strong understanding of AEM development practices and component architecture, including how designs and business requirements are translated into reusable, responsive and authorable components
- Experience working with Content Fragments, Experience Fragments and headless content structures to support content reuse across multiple digital channels
- Ability to assess technical solutions and distinguish when to use AEM out-of-the-box functionality, configuration and reusable patterns versus custom development
- Ability to work closely with developers to guide implementation decisions around components, templates, workflows, configuration and front-end behaviour
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot technical deficiencies across components, templates, front-end behaviour, metadata and content structure that can impact accessibility, SEO, site performance and content discoverability, including in AI-powered search experiences
- Experience identifying and resolving issues across content, templates, components, workflows, publishing and production defects
- Proven ability to work across Digital Product, Digital Production, business stakeholders and Technology teams to translate requirements into practical digital solutions
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical teams
What makes you stand out:
- Experience in a large website migration, rebuild, rebrand or major platform uplift in AEM
