Technical DevOps Engineer (Artifact management)
Your role
Are you a DevOps engineer with experience with on-prem and Cloud based projects? Do you like the challenging world of development tooling? Are you confident in delivering the objectives within highly complex projects?
We’re looking for DevOps Engineer to:
– propose and implement systems enhancements
– improve security posture of the development tools and applications built using the tools
– monitor usage and performance, and troubleshoot server and software issues
– analyze complexity and feasibility of new or changed requirements
– within specified architecture, define platform requirement sizing and controlling components
– plan, evaluate, migrate, develop, implement, configure, test and roll out systems (hardware or software, networks, controls)
– analyze outages and defective states, initiating and monitoring measures to remedy them
– install and administer Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools
Your team
You'll be working in the Core Platform Engineering team. It's part of Group within our global Technology Services division. You’ll be focusing on DevOps tools engineering, Azure infrastructure. Initially concentrating on Artifact Management and the redesign of our Repository infrastructure. The team is truly agile and distributed across multiple locations, as a result you will gain valuable experience working with world-class IT and Banking expertise (including Europe, US and APAC). Your experience and skills
You have:
– Experience working as an administrator responsible for the infrastructure, storage and organization of development artifacts, ideally this would include Nexus Repository Manager or Azure Container Manger.
– Good knowledge Artifact Vulnerability management and associated tooling
– Good knowledge of RedHat Linux and Solaris x86 Unix environments with scripting skills
– Administration and Installation experience in any of GitLab / Azure Kubernetes Service / Nexus Repository Manager / Nexus Lifecycle (IQ)
– Working experience in configuring project build automation using Maven, Gradle, etc.
– Strong background regarding Continuous Integration build chain and the tools and development processes behind
– Strong knowledge and hands on experience on Kubernetes
– Good understanding of Networking and storage
– Good scripting knowledge of Unix shell and windows PowerShell.
– Strong knowledge of helm
– Strong analytic and problem solving skills
– Experience on the following is a plus
– monitoring and toning the CI environment to ensure high availability, efficiency, scalability and traceability
– expanding the adoption and integration of CI build chain
– improving degree of automation for repetitive tasks and reporting
– leading massive version upgrade and migrations across different platforms
– providing evaluation, assessment and proposal on new tools and plugins
– supporting technical concepts, effort estimations and feasibility studies

Skills Required
- Experience administering infrastructure, storage, and organization of development artifacts
- Experience with Nexus Repository Manager or Azure Container Registry
- Knowledge of artifact vulnerability management and associated tooling
- Knowledge of Red Hat Linux and Solaris x86 Unix environments
- Unix shell and Windows PowerShell scripting skills
- Administration and installation experience with GitLab, Azure Kubernetes Service, Nexus Repository Manager, or Nexus Lifecycle IQ
- Experience configuring project build automation using Maven, Gradle, or similar tools
- Strong background in continuous integration build chains, tools, and development processes
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Kubernetes
- Understanding of networking and storage
